Overview
GitHub Copilot, the world’s most widely adopted AI developer tool, is at an exciting growth phase and we're looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to join our team and grow the business. As a Senior Product Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the messaging and positioning of Github Copilot, designing and executing the GTM strategy, and working closely with the cross-functional teams to drive customer and user acquisition, adoption and retention.

Required qualifications:
The base salary range for this job is USD $89,200.00 - USD $236,600.00 /Yr.
These pay ranges are intended to cover roles based across the United States. An individual's base pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant. At GitHub certain roles are eligible for benefits and additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These rewards are allocated based on individual impact in role. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.

As a Senior Product Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the messaging and positioning of Github Copilot, designing and executing the GTM strategy, and working closely with the cross-functional teams to drive customer and user acquisition, adoption and retention.
Responsibilities
- Product launches and releases: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch new Copilot features and enhancements following our rigorous release schedule and at key industry events such as Github Universe.
- Messaging and positioning: Develop clear and differentiating messaging and positioning that resonates with our target audience across developers and enterprises.
- Content development: Help develop targeted content across various channels to support both internal and external communication, including presentations, website copies, blog posts, social media copies, sales enablement materials, and more.
- Drive product adoption and engagement: Work closely with demand gen and other cross functional teams to create and implement marketing programs and campaigns to educate and engage developers and enterprises, driving adoption and pipeline.
- Sales enablement: Partner with the sales enablement team on enablement activities including developing and delivering compelling sales enablement content to help sellers better sell Copilot.
- Measure and analyze marketing performance: Track key metrics and use data-driven insights to optimize our marketing efforts.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor offerings to inform our product positioning and messaging.
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in product marketing within the software or technology industry.
- Experience working within developer tools and/or AI.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear and concise messaging.
- Team player who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Passion for using data to inform decision-making and measure impact.
- Ability to handle ambiguity and swiftly adapt to changes.
