Overview

We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated and strategic thinker to join our Revenue Enablement team. You will be a highly collaborative, energetic, creative and accountable strategic advisor and business partner to our SMB team. This position offers the opportunity to lead the development of an global sales enablement program, ensuring sellers have the tools and knowledge needed to succeed in a fast-paced environment. You should be knowledgeable and passionate about learning, enablement, and operational excellence, and have experience building and executing scaled enablement experiences to revenue teams.

The SMB Enablement Lead will be responsible for owning - including building, development, and ongoing execution - of an enablement strategy that supports our SMB organization. This will include run-the-business enablement, which entails representing product launches and business updates within the segment, in addition to strategic segment enablement, meaning owning the enablement strategy for the team. The role will also be responsible for adding on segment-specific additions to global programs, and helping to roll out global programs locally to the SMB team. Day-to-day activities will include implementing and evolving our sales methodology, delivering relevant enablement & training programs on our value drivers and solutions, optimizing sales resources, and equipping leadership with actionable insights.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the SMB leadership team to develop a comprehensive enablement plan including program priorities, measurement strategy, engagement model, and processes
  • Capability to work cross functionally with operational and revenue teams to ensure programs have the right balance of operational excellence, program rigor, execution, and sustainability
  • Conduct top-down, scaled enablement to empower managers on best practices, selling skills, and strategies to enable their teams
  • Design, build and execute sales training/coaching programs to meet business needs and support achievement of sales objectives.
  • Oversee the development of programs working with instructional design resources to leverage a blended learning model to include virtual instructor led training and self-directed, learning featuring conventional and new technologies
  • Develop strong relationships with the SMB teams to understand their needs and obtain ongoing feedback on enablement efforts
  • Establish key performance indicators to track the impact of enablement
  • Participate in QBRs; Develop an enablement-specific QBR to share out impact

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years experience in Sales, Customer Success, Product Management, Consulting, Enablement, Change Management, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Operations, Finance or related field AND 5+ years experience in Sales, Customer Success, Product Management, Consulting, Enablement, Change Management, or related field OR Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Operations, Finance or related field AND 3+ years experience in Sales, Customer Success, Product Management, Consulting, Enablement, Change Management, or related field OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in designing and executing sales enablement programs to global audiences of 100+; Experience facilitating and hosting live sessions
  • Demonstrated ability to enable and lead cross-functional working groups that span both technical and non-technical backgrounds
  • Professional working history of analyzing revenue metrics and making data-driven decisions

  • You have strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with sales and cross-functional teams
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and ability to be flexible in a rapidly changing environment; Tenacity to overcome unexpected challenges and roadblocks in pursuit of team goals
  • Excellent critical thinking skills that allow you to assess opportunities for process improvement
  • Experience and familiarity of working with learning technology tools
  • Familiarity with GitHub: our product and our community

Compensation Range

The base salary range for this job is USD $89,200.00 - USD $236,600.00 /Yr.

These pay ranges are intended to cover roles based across the United States. An individual's base pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant. At GitHub certain roles are eligible for benefits and additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These rewards are allocated based on individual impact in role. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
