Microsoft’s MAIA architecture team is looking for outstanding Performance Analysis Architects to help analyze, and accelerate AI application performance on Microsoft’s custom AI accelerators

Responsibilities
- Analyze performance and power efficiency of critical deep learning workloads
- Understand and analyze the boundaries of hardware and software interface on forward looking algorithms
- Prototype opportunities for performance and power optimizations, and trade-offs on AI accelerators
- Actively collaborate with hardware and software implementation teams, to guide the direction of deep learning hardware and software

Required Qualifications
- 9+ years of related technical engineering experience Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience or internship experience
- OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience or internship experience Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science
- 5+ years of experience with Python, C, C++
- 7+ years of experience with performance modeling at various levels of abstraction, and analysis
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- MS or PhD in relevant CS/EE/CE
- Background in deep neural network training, and inference workload optimizations
- Experience in architecture and workload analysis on GPUs
