The Partner GTM (Go-To Market), Programs, & Experiences team within GPS brings together the Go-to-Market strategy, programs, and platforms to accelerate growth and improve partner experience across all partner segments.
The Senior Business Program Manager – Marketplace, will be a part of a newly formed team focused on mainstreaming our commercial marketplace into our commercial sales motions. This position is responsible for working collaboratively across the organization to translate Microsoft business goals into a set of actionable plans and requirements that can be built into Microsoft’s sales motions, programs, systems, tools and processes.
The perfect fit is a seasoned large-scale program or project manager and thought leader, ideally with experience in defining and/or marketing channel sales programs or with Microsoft commercial marketplace.

Responsibilities
- Collaborates with manager, team and cross company stakeholders to define, plan, and support launch of new platform capabilities, pricing approaches and program requirements.
- Manages the relationship with Microsoft Cloud Partner Program teams across areas of accountability to ensure partner program requirements are consistent and cohesive with other relevant business programs, systems, and tools as required
- Accountable for the development of partner messaging and positioning and value propositions and ensure they are incorporated into the broader Microsoft Cloud Partner Program value proposition, including readiness components to drive market differentiation and real-world partner value in marketplace
- Drive strategy for how we build, nurture, and engage the Marketplace partner ecosystem aligned to the Microsoft cloud. Perform partner planning, define scorecard metrics and KPIs, and co-design the partner programs and investments with manager, team, and in partnership with the Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) segment teams, Engineering, Product Marketing Group (PMG), business planning, and GPS teams around the world.
- Provide program and project management leadership for strategic partner projects or initiatives as assigned
- Applies a broad and deep understanding of customers, partners and internal groups' needs, drivers, and decision-making processes and plans and influences priorities and decisions to improve satisfaction, performance, and partner experience.

- Establishes best practices for shared strategies that set the standard for clear expectations, scope and scale, and minimize redundancies.
- Implements project management protocols for risk mitigation, cost, time, quality, resources and business value. Seeks appropriate opportunities for incremental improvement and/or innovation
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 4+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement OR equivalent experience.
- 6 + years demonstrated track record of success in developing, managing, and improving large scale business or partner programs, including interfacing with a diverse set of stakeholders in a global environment
- Passionate, results-driven, and organized approach; with an attention to detail: A self-starter who can create and deliver scalable plans from concept to delivery, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, effectively driving to measurable results.
- The ability to work cross-team in ambiguous and changing environments, along with excellent listening and partnering skills. Is comfortable working in a highly matrixed environment, and leading program v-teams or workstreams aligned to shared goals and measures.
- Engagement expertise: Storytelling skills and passion for delighting partners, advocating on their behalf, creating great partner experiences, and understanding the linkage between these experiences and business success
- Experience leading/navigating large cross-functional virtual teams is a critical skill for success. Comfortable challenging the status quo. Brings demonstrated experience proposing, creating, and managing executive-level proposals and presentations.
- Data literacy: Ability to interpret and reason over trends in data, translating into action and program design principles
- Executive Relations: The ability to interact confidently with people at all levels of the organization to present/defend/clarify concerns or issues regarding an existing project or program. This includes the ability to confidently address difficult questions, handle pushback and engage in high-pressure situations
