Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Learning Operations Project Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in managing the operational aspects of our certification and learning programs, ensuring smooth execution and excellence in delivery. You will take on projects autonomously of small to medium size from start to finish with limited guidance around the project management process along the way. You will need to understand each stakeholder’s perspective and ensure that they have been appropriately considered in strategy setting and roadmap creation. You will need to manage risk and uncertainty by incrementally learning by starting small and exposing changes to progressively more people that impact a segment of the program.

Required Qualifications:
The base salary range for this job is USD $61,300.00 - USD $162,500.00 /Yr.
These pay ranges are intended to cover roles based across the United States. An individual's base pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant. At GitHub certain roles are eligible for benefits and additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These rewards are allocated based on individual impact in role. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.

Responsibilities
- Provide operational support for the Certification Program, including customer and partner support, troubleshooting issues, and overseeing testing vendor interactions for feature requests, ticket resolution, and ensuring optimal user experience.
- Plan and conduct weekly status meetings with GitHub engineering and external vendor teams. Distribute meeting notes, track risks and issues, and follow up on action items to drive progress.
- Project manage the development and refresh cycles of certification exams, ensuring alignment with program goals and industry standards. This includes managing the relationship with the exam psychometrician and standards team.
- Manage Subject Matter Expert (SME) teams to write and review test items for certification exams. Coordinate beta testing to validate exam content and prepare for launch.
- Collaborate with learning content team on roadmap to identify new opportunities, certifications, or improvements to existing programs.
- Collaborate with Engineering teams to address technical issues, implement enhancements, and ensure system reliability and usability. Establishes and maintains open communication channels with stakeholders and partners. Provides accurate and complete status reporting through established means. Works with stakeholders to move projects forward, gather information, and make decisions.

- Identifies key metrics needed to ensure operational efficiency for their area. Builds data fluency and is fluent with the key research and data analysis methods and tools used day-to-day.Uses examples and takes consultation from experts to develop analysis for our purposes
- Provide guidance and support to internal teams and stakeholders on certification requirements, exam procedures, and learning program initiatives.
- Support the development of an ACE marketing strategy to promote Certification and Learning programs. Collaborate closely with GitHub's social marketing team to execute marketing campaigns effectively.
- Foster our community of certified professionals through events, forums, and online communities.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience in product/service/project/program management, software development, product design, or related field
- OR Bachelor's Degree in related field AND 1+ years experience in product/service/project/program management, software development, product design, or related field
- OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in learning operations, ideally within the IT sector.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail. Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering collaborative relationships with diverse teams and stakeholders.
