Microsoft's Commerce+Ecosystems organization is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to research, define, design, plan & manage the end-to-end delivery, adoption and operation of Azure-based online service technologies and programs that enable Microsoft’s Commerce stack to push the envelope in terms of what it means to operate with World-class reliability, security, identity, compliance, privacy, performance, business continuity/disaster recovery & efficiency. The candidates will have an opportunity to deliver immense business impact through their work in this space which will benefit virtually all organizations at Microsoft as well as Microsoft partners & investors.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Technical Program Manager you wil be responsible for:

  • Ingesting, advocating, planning, committing, executing, supportting, & managing end-to-end delivery of division-scoped engineering initiatives
  • Knowledge and experience with Cloud based computoing platforms Azure environments.
  • Collect, define, capture & prioritize functional requirements that address specific business opportunities & pain points
  • Work closely with engineering teams to design technology solutions that address functional requirements
  • Practical, demonstrated experience collaborating with software engineers, technical program managers and business partners to design, develop and/or adopt technology solutions
  • Review proposed solutions with stakeholders, garner support and approval for execution
  • Build, review and execute an end-to-end delivery and adoption plan for solutions
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) ITGC controls, compliance & security subject matter & experience is desirable, but not required

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years’ experience working as a Technical Program Manager in a commercial software organization
  • 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience authoring functional specifications for online services (or features of online services)
  • Demonstrated experience building & executing engineering plans end-to-end
  • Experience working in a “virtual first” environment, partnering with fellow employees and partners around the Globe.
  • Passion, innovation, and creativity for cloud-based technologies
  • Highly organized, with a systematic, strategic approach to problem solving and execution.
  • Top notch collaboration skills with a demonstrated history of successfully driving large, technical projects that span organizational boundaries
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field or 5+ years equivalent industry experience

Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
