As a UX Researcher, you will drive human-centered strategy, help set product direction, and contribute directly to ongoing product development by integrating insights about human behaviors, attitudes, practices, and norms. This opportunity will allow you to drive short and long-term research plans to fill in knowledge gaps, prioritize inclusion, identify risks, and inform product decisions; conduct analyses and distill quantitative and qualitative data into actionable insights and actively contribute to achieving product outcomes that delight customers and meet desired organizational goals; contribute to business success across all stages of the product cycle by representing the voice of the customer.

Responsibilities

  • Create and drive plans for research studies and/or programs for a component or feature. Define and scope problems for study with clear success criteria relevant for business needs. Plan research design to proactively minimize bias.
  • Choose the research method(s) best suited to the business objectives and learning needs (e.g., moderated and unmoderated usability studies, interviews, surveys, scorecards, competitive benchmarks, clickstream analytics, A/B testing, ethnographic field research, participatory designs, user modeling). Collect valid, reliable, and unbiased data.
  • Synthesize and distill data. Review quantitative and/or qualitative signals to draw appropriate and valid conclusions from available data; analyze data to determine the most significant elements, identify common elements and themes in situations and actions, and recognize cause and effect relationships. Translate raw data into insights.
  • Apply user experience research and design thinking approaches to solution exploration.
  • Measure user experience improvements over time for a component or feature.
  • Produce impactful artifacts generated from research findings which bring clarity to the space being studied.
  • Create communication methods that promote an emotional connection to a customer, and convey real user stories that reveal customer insights.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communications, Information Science, Information Architecture, User Experience Design, Behavioral Science, Social Sciences, or related field AND 2+ years User Experience Research experience
    • OR Master's Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communications, Information Science, Information Architecture, User Experience Design, Behavioral Science, Social Sciences, or related field AND 1+ year(s) User Experience Research experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communications, Information Science, Information Architecture, User Experience Design, Behavioral Science, Social Sciences, or related field AND 5+ years User Experience Research experience

  • o OR equivalent experience.

UX Research IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.
