Capacity Supply Chain and Provisioning (CSCP) group is an exciting and fast evolving group within Microsoft whose vision is to empower customers to achieve more by delivering cloud capacity at scale. The organization is responsible for planning, delivery and provision of all data centers powering Microsoft cloud properties globally. CSCP supports over 200 online businesses including Bing, O365, OneDrive, Xbox and Windows Azure branded services.

Cloud Manufacturing Operations and Fulfillment (CMOF) organization within CSCP manages business operations performance and supplies hardware to the data centers. Well-defined and executed supply chain management ensures reliable on-time performance, optimized cost, prevents urgent and unplanned investments, and provides accurate and timely information across the supply base and internally across the infrastructure organization. Our focus is on smart growth, high efficiency, and delivering a trusted experience to customers and partners worldwide.

The role of Senior Supply Chain Program Manager will be responsible for driving strategic cross-functional projects and business initiatives for CMOF & CSCP.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be working on key projects and business initiatives. The primary focus will be on process improvements driving operational excellence.

  • Lead assigned strategic initiatives for the organization along with a project / cross functional team.
  • Interface with demand/capacity planning, deployment, sourcing, logistics, finance, data center operations and engineering to build scalable processes & tools, drive optimization, and garner supply chain efficiencies to improve delivery performance.
  • Represent CSCP/CMOF in cross-org initiatives, and partner with internal teams on actions and deliverables.
  • Identify and drive cross-functional process improvements with partner stakeholders.
  • Collect, synthesize, and communicate fact-based insights to drive strategies, and decision making for executives.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 7+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience
    • OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 3+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience
    • o OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives with key stakeholders ex: Procurement, Operations, Planning and Deployment functions.
  • Experience in root cause analysis/problem solving and the ability to implement and drive corrective actions and efficiencies in a matrix environment.
Other Requirements

The ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are needed for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screening: Microsoft Cloud Background Check - requirement to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check is needed upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA/MS preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years in program management and/or operations management in IT hardware supply chain.
  • Experience in leading large-scale programs, and a proven track record of successfully setting up and executing supply chain operational processes.
  • Experience with deriving insights and actions from data and driving process improvement based on those.
  • Ability to lead in ambiguous situations, and deal effectively with conflicting priorities and changes.
  • Proficient with SQL, PowerBI, Excel modeling, and able to generate quality outputs.
  • Experience in working with global and cross-functional internal and external teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in operations planning.
  • Cloud / high tech supply chain experience is a plus.
  • Influencing skills and ability to build relationships across multiple layers in the organization.

Supply Planning IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,200 - $194,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $142,200 - $213,200 per year.
