The Commerce + Ecosystems (C+E) Commerce team is working to enable an easier experience for customers and partners to grow, as well as to buy and do business with us by delivering a dependable, safe and secure commerce infrastructure. C+E is hiring a Director, Business Strategy for the Microsoft for Startups mandate and mission while serving as a business partner to key Microsoft corporate stakeholders.
The Director, Business Strategy will serve as the Microsoft for Startups ambassador to the Global Demand Center and oversee a team whose responsibility is directly liaising with a variety of internal Microsoft stakeholders and subsidiary teams.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for building the relationship with and growing collaboration with the Global Demand Center.
- Serve as Microsoft for Startups’ first point of call for senior-level briefings, inbound queries, and escalations from our corporate and subsidiary partners.
- Oversee an international team of PMs tasked with the principal objective of liaising across the A16 and deepening MfS’ capacity to build scalable internal partnerships.
- Construct an information sharing structure and sustainable processes to both disseminate critical MfS information to our internal partners as well as synthesize inbound information from these parties for action by the MfS team.
- Act as an internal cross-functional lead in regularly convening and soliciting the priorities and concerns of MfS team members with a direct Global Demand Centre interface.
- Set strategic direction for how MfS builds continuity in the approach to internal partnerships across subsidiary and country teams.
- Manage toward global extensibility through digital-first engagement and implementation of existing Microsoft best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Liberal Arts, Computer Science, or related field AND 6+ years marketing, strategy, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience
- OR Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field AND 4+ years marketing, strategy, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ year(s) experience in Strategy, Management Consulting, and/or Finance.
- 1+ year(s) people management experience.
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Liberal Arts, Computer Science, or related field AND 12+ years marketing, strategy, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience
- OR Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field AND 8+ years marketing, strategy, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years experience in Strategy, Management Consulting, and/or Finance.
- 3+ years people management experience.
