The mission of Microsoft Security (MSec) organization is to make the world a safer place for all.

To accomplish this mission, the Purview CxE (Customer Experience Engineering) Scale Enablement Team, partners closely with our Product Engineering, Product Marketing to define product features and deployment activities that are implemented at scale through scale programs like FastTrack. Our team supports majority of the Purview products: Learn about Microsoft Purview | Microsoft Learn. This role will be focused on Data Governance products within Microsoft Purview which includes unified data governance solutions that help you manage data services across your on-premises, multicloud, and software-as-a-service (SaaS) estate. That includes Azure storage services, Power BI, databases like SQL or Hive, file services like Amazon S3, and many more.

Role

We are looking for a customer-focused individual with deep Product Management expertise, technology depth, business acumen and become a trusted advisor on Purview products. This role has 3 primary areas of responsibility:

  • Help customers realize the value of our products by driving usage at scale: As a product expert, you will enable scale deployment, adoption, and usage of our products to creating work-class repeatable and scalable deployment processes. You will do this by having deep technology product knowledge, creating, and maintaining technical deployment and readiness content, facilitating deployment blocker resolution, and training the scale deployment ecosystem to successfully enable customers to use our products. You will engage customers and partners, evangelizing the products you support and help unblock deployment challenges when they arise. You will partner closely with your Product Engineering peers to understand and continuously evaluate product roadmaps ensuring the scale deployment ecosystem is able to successfully support our most current product releases.
  • Continuously Improve our products: Working with your Product Engineering peers, you will use your product knowledge and expertise to influence product vision, strategy, and roadmap. You will do this by learning from customers, partners, compete and our deployment ecosystem collecting product insights and driving those insights into Product Engineering to continuously improve our products.
  • Incubate new features and products: You will help incubate new and exciting features and products with customers and/or partners

The Purview CxE (Customer Experience Engineering) Scale Enablement Team is looking for an experienced Product Manager to improve Microsoft Purview products by enabling other internal scale teams to onboard customers to our services, drive adoption, deliver top-notch customer experience, and most importantly drive a data-driven customer/engineering feedback loop to continuously improve our products.

In this role, you will work with many Microsoft teams like product engineering, Marketing, Field, other CxE teams, FastTrack teams as well as with customers/partners directly to define and improve internal processes, deployment playbooks and drive readiness efforts to help customers who are evaluating and deploying Microsoft Purview. You will engage with customers to deeply understand their needs and synthesize them into actionable roadmaps and product plans to grow usage of Microsoft Purview.

You must have a passion for content creation and be willing to educate the field on best practices and product use. Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Help customers realize value of our products driving usage and scale: As a Microsoft Purview technology expert, you will enable customers to scale deployment, adoption, and usage of our products and define our customer’s experience with these services. You will use your technical subject matter expertise to train and enable the scale deployment ecosystem, driving investments to build better products for our scale motion. Collaborate with internal and external communities to identify business and technical requirements and spearhead the continuous improvement of our products.
  • Product & Service Insights: Working with Compliance engineering teams, use your technical knowledge and expertise to help guide the future direction of our products and services. You will learn from customers, partners and FastTrack deployment efforts collecting product insights and driving those insights into our Product Engineering peers to influence product roadmap and improve our products. Ensure our customer and partner needs are understood and evangelized throughout the engineering organization as part of the development lifecycle is critical to our long-term business growth and sustainability.
  • Incubate new features and products: You will incubate new and exciting features and products with customers and ensure readiness through repeatable and scalable processes.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated technology acumen and product knowledge within the Microsoft Purview stack especially Purview Data Governance products like Data Catalog, Data Map, Data Insights etc [expertise in the any of the following Purview products is advantageous: Microsoft Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention, Microsoft Compliance Manager, Insider Risk Management, Communication Compliance, Microsoft Information Governance, eDiscovery & Audit, Multi-cloud and multi-platform Security and Compliance, or Microsoft Copilot ]
  • Technical curiosity, acumen and aptitude to quickly understand product capabilities, technology, technical issues, and customer/partner needs.
  • Product Management capabilities ad ability to effectively communicate at all levels of an organization, from senior executives on down, across all functions from business to technical, and across multiple geographies.
  • Ability to align a disparate set of teams on a common strategy, goal and set of objectives
  • Demonstrated flexibility and experience in building, tracking, and driving large scale programs.
  • The ability to drive service enhancements with a focus on onboarding, process simplification, creation of technical onboarding and readiness content, and technical training
  • Self-driven and the ability to work autonomously and ability to prioritize across multiple projects
  • Solid experience in identifying technical gaps and advocating on behalf of the customer to make products stronger and a proven track record driving the prioritization of a insights based on actual customer evidence.
  • Bachelor's Degree AND 3+ year(s) experience in product/service/project/program management and/or process improvement
