If you’re passionate about technology, have a knack for creative ideas, and lead with a growth mindset, we want to hear from you.

The Web Experience Collective (WXC) is a creative community of designers and researchers on a mission to create and deliver holistic customer experiences while imagining the future of web and Windows experiences. Between Windows, Edge, Bing, and apps, we’re creating end to end web experiences from shopping, to search, to ads, news, sports, and gaming. Our diverse team works collaboratively to create products and ideas that empower us to move fast to build seamless and delightful experiences for billions of customers worldwide. Join us!

We’re building a culture based on learning and creating meaningful experiences for our customers. We are seeking a multi-skilled Product Designer 2 with a mastery of visual design, experience design, interface construction, branding, and storytelling. The right candidate works independently and is a passionate collaborator with other design teams, engineering teams and marketing groups.

Finally, this designer defaults to a making/building mindset – when in doubt we build something and test it. Embracing quick prototyping and testing is central to this role.

  • Creates visual design documents including mood boards, storyboards, creative briefs, 3D models, product renderings/visualizations, color and materials design, motion studies, iconography, illustrations, layouts, and redlines for an assigned product, tool, or service.
  • Creates wireframes, journey maps, user jobs and scenarios, task flows, and personas in support of interaction designs for software-based experiences under the direction of a senior team member.
  • Uses a prescribed design system (e.g., content templates, icons, form design, UI controls, navigation models, design trends).
  • Proactively communicates with peers and managers in their studio team.
  • Helps organize communication with cross-disciplinary teams inside and across stages of design and development.
  • Recognizes and communicates the user needs to team members and recommends ideas to create a compelling narrative for the product. Explores new and interesting ways of telling stories.
  • Facilitates fundamental tasks on projects with creative team members, program managers, and developers (e.g., the triad/quad) to define and iterate new and existing product features.
  • Participates in one or more studies at a time and collaborates, creates, and helps the team deliver product design results. Influences team members in support of product design impact.
