The Fungible group within SCHIE (Silicon Engineering Solutions and Cloud Hardware Infrastructure Engineering) is responsible for developing and delivering Silicon, Systems, and Software for the Data Processing Unit (DPU) into Azure infrastructure. The DPU will enable more efficient, scalable, and reliable Azure infrastructure to help accelerate cloud services for millions of customers worldwide. The Fungible team is looking for a Senior Business Manager.

The Senior Business Manager is a key member of the team and an extension of Fungible’s leadership team. The role requires someone who has a strategic, business mindset with a bias for action; someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; and someone who can partner successfully with senior leaders, individual contributors, and support staff.

The job requires partnering across Fungible, HR, administration, finance, and other teams to help us effectively and efficiently operate a dynamic and productive organization.

Successful candidates should have a proven capability for business program management, organizational skills, culture and change management experience and an ability to execute in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive communication of key goals and priorities within and outside the Fungible organization.
  • Develop and lead projects that support rapid hiring, onboarding, and overall organizational health.
  • Lead and execute cross-org strategic initiatives and change management projects.
  • Drive the execution of the Rhythm of business (ROB) including business reviews, planning processes, resource management, budget forecasting, staff meetings, cross-organizational business reporting, etc. to help the business run smoothly and effectively.
  • Execute business plans to ensure continuity of business operations.
  • Set best practices for business operations planning and execution across the organization.
  • Partner with other stakeholders within the team and Azure organization to manage and drive special projects.
  • Lead and orchestrate planning and fiscal year priorities process in partnership with the leadership team.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 6+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years experience working with Engineering teams.
Other Requirements

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional Or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 8+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
    • OR Master's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 5+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Self-starter with good financial and analytical skills.
  • Effective written, interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to simplify complex business and technology topics.
  • Good attention to detail, passion for strategic thinking and problem solving, and ability to deliver rich business insights to drive business decisions.
  • Ability to work with a variety of people across the organization, including senior leaders, individual contributors, and support staff.
  • Ability to maintain good judgment in dynamic environments.
  • Ability to work in an ambiguous environment and effectively triage several competing priorities.
  • Work independently to balance multiple tasks and competing priorities simultaneously.
Business Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,200 - $194,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $142,200 - $213,200 per year.
