The Microsoft Teams & Platform team is looking for an Executive Communications Manager who can craft and deliver compelling messages to internal and external audiences. As an Executive Communications Manager, you will work closely with the leadership team – and specifically the VP of Product Marketing for Teams & Platform – to develop and execute communication strategies that align with the vision, mission, and goals of the organization. You will also be responsible for creating and managing various communication channels, such as blogs, newsletters, social media, webinars, and events. You will be a key partner in shaping the voice and tone of the organization and enhancing its reputation and influence.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement communication plans that support the strategic priorities and objectives of the Microsoft Teams & Platform team.
  • Write, edit, and produce high-quality and engaging content for various communication platforms, such as executive presentations, speeches, blogs, newsletters, social media, webinars, and events.
  • Manage and maintain the editorial calendar and content pipeline for the Microsoft Teams & Platform team and specifically its leadership.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as marketing, PR, engineering, design, and research, to ensure alignment and consistency of messaging and branding.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness and impact of communication initiatives and channels.
  • Research and monitor industry trends, best practices, and competitive insights to inform and improve communication strategies and tactics.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to the leadership team on their communication skills and style.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field AND 4+ years Communications, Marketing Operations, Product Marketing, Program Management, Project Management, or related experience
    • OR equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of experience in the technology space
Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience supporting senior executives in an executive communications role.
  • 3+ years experience working with social media platforms.
  • Compelling writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively with ambiguity and adapt to changing priorities and expectations in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Extensive experience with cross-group collaboration, with the ability to build trust and influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Creative and strategic thinker, with the ability to translate complex and technical information into clear and compelling messages.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 apps, especially Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams.

Communications IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $101,200 - $194,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $130,000 - $213,200 per year.
