The Azure Cloud Experiences Studio is seeking a motivated, creative, and customer-focused Product Designer to help driving design for Azure and beyond. As a part of a multidisciplinary studio, you’ll be working on delivering the next generation of experiences for Microsoft Azure. Responsibilities

  • You will create journey maps, storyboards, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, and other elements to support interaction design. You’ll also participate in product UX improvements by creating interaction models while acting as a liaison between users and products.
  • You will collaborate with Engineering teams to ensure quality while developing the ability to challenge design limitations. You’ll also produce visual designs by creating visual language for a set of products. You will leverage and contribute to Azure design patterns.
  • You will clearly communicate and present your work and learnings to peers and managers within your studio team. You will also communicate user needs to team members and recommend ideas to create a compelling productive narrative.
  • You will complete fundamental tasks with creative team members, program managers, and developers to define product features. You’ll help deliver and ideate product design results by participating in one or more studies at a time, while also influencing collaborators.
  • You will work in an iterative manner, scoping, and prioritizing work across multiple projects. You will be an advocate for the user and champion industry-leading user-centered design practices.

Qualifications

  • Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field
    • 3+ years of experience working in product or service design or equivalent experience
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present your work to peers across disciplines
    • Expertise with modern design tools such as Adobe CC or Figma
    • Ability to share a Design Portfolio
Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field
  • Coordinating work on multiple products/releases
  • Ability to work within tight timelines and with excellent project management skills
  • Technical knowledge of cloud computing, IT, and computer programming
  • Comfortable and enthusiastic about working in a complex product space and enterprise scenarios

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
