The Microsoft Strategic Missions and Technologies (SMT) division focuses on next-generation technology solutions, including: specialized teams empowering telecommunications providers; engineering teams who are helping to carry out challenging missions and connecting the cloud to satellites in space; worldwide research teams leading the way to scalable, accessible quantum computing; and the key technology partner to the U.S. Federal government for achieving their diverse organizations’ missions through digital transformation.

The SMT Executive Office is seeking for a driven, collaborative Business Support professional to join our team. Responsibilities

This role supports the executive office with high-level administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated ability to multi-task and to pivot and make timely decisions in rapid response to a dynamic work environment. A successful candidate is self-motivated, has proficient communication and interpersonal skills, and exercises sound judgment, tact, diplomacy, integrity, and professionalism. Balancing between collaboration and working independently and expressing comfort operating with ambiguity is key. A leader who can directly own or delegate as appropriate between problem-solving and project-management will have high impact across the myriad of priorities ahead of them. Achieving results with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail while anticipating and removing administrative roadblocks is expected, all while performing reliably as part of a team.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

  • SMT Relationship Manager
  • Support the executive assistants in the SMT Executive office with high-level tasks and requests
  • Ensure compliance of administrative operational policies and procedures
  • Undertake special assignments and projects as needed

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years Administrative, Business Support, or customer service experience in an environment with an emphasis on scheduling meetings/events, travel management, calendar management, and administration work for executive/upper-level management.
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • 2+ years supporting an executive in a face-paced, corporate environment.

Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional Or Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience serving as a mentor or direct/indirect (e.g., team leader) supervisor to others.
  • 5+ years of experience reviewing and managing administrative budgets (e.g., for events, morale, travel, training)

Business Support ATR-D - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $27.40 - $46.49 per hour. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $37.84 - $52.98 per hour.
