As Internal Hiring Specialist/Recruiter, you will effectively manage candidates through the internal recruiting process, establish yourself as a talent advisor with stakeholders and be a candidate ambassador that will deliver a best-in-class hiring experience. You will be curious, be an innovative problem solver and comfortable with using data to inform, influence and guide. Responsibilities

Candidate Experience

  • Owns the internal candidate experience and prepares candidates for next phases of the process; enhances the candidate experience at all phases of the relationship by proactively identifying factors that may adversely impact the candidate and partnering with business leaders to develop mitigation strategies
  • Supports candidates by giving timely feedback, information about the process status, set’s up expectations for next steps and influences the hiring manager and the interview loop to keep the same level of candidate experience by providing clarity, transparency, and closure.

Stakeholder/Client Engagement

  • Applies deep knowledge of factors relevant to the business and hiring managers' needs (e.g., time to hire, location, budget) and uses this knowledge to guide the development of end-to-end internal hiring plans aligned to the needs of the business group, division, region, or subsidiary.
  • Supporting stakeholders on recruitment process steps (feedbacks, offer, etc) and hiring policies and facilitate/manage the flow of communication with the hiring managers, internal candidates and HR teams.
  • Works closely with the externally focused, country aligned recruiters on executing broader hiring plans, and ensures internal talents are represented and considered for open positions.

Data Analysis & Hiring Plans

  • Analyzes relevant data and trends to provide insight and set plans to meet hiring goals; connects data to cross-organization goals and leads conversations across groups to address broad hiring issues; leads the implementation of internal hiring plan that addresses both business demand and availability of talent to fill the short-term and long-term talent needs (12 months and beyond).

Candidate Attraction

  • Uses deep knowledge of internal career opportunities to differentiate Microsoft’s unique career possibilities, advantages, and rewards and leverage a consistent, compelling message that conveys the most significant motivators to Microsoft internal talent.
  • Coaches the client to represent Microsoft’s unique internal career possibilities, advantages, and rewards.

Candidate Assessment & Screening

  • Manages the candidate assessment framework and identifies, adopts, and evangelizes best practices that ensure high-quality hires; identifies opportunities for improvement and leads the creation of assessment materials by identifying relevant competencies and job criteria.

Operational Compliance & Excellence

  • Uses subject matter expertise on applying internal staffing policies, standards, and/or regulations throughout the entire staffing lifecycle to educate clients, stakeholders, and other staffers on policy, system, and process issues; identifies opportunities to optimize policies, systems, and processes.
  • Maintains current documentation on candidates’ qualifications and status in the appropriate staffing or tracking system, within compliance guidelines (e.g., Office of Federal Compliance Programs, General Data Protection Regulation); captures relevant data in recruiting platform and leverages data to inform meaningful insights.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Liberal Arts, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field AND talent acquisition experience (e.g., recruiting, sourcing), HR experience, or industry experience related to role.
