We are looking for a Cloud Solution Architect (Manager-level role) to lead a team of architects who help customers achieve their business and technology goals through Microsoft solutions. This leader will serve as a trusted advisor to customers and partners, driving cloud adoption, digital transformation, security, resilience, and AI innovation while ensuring exceptional customer outcomes and long-term success.
In this role, you will coach and empower a team responsible for translating complex customer challenges into scalable solutions that deliver measurable business value. You will foster effective relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders, driving collaboration across Microsoft to remove barriers, accelerate solution adoption, and identify opportunities for growth and expansion. You will also help shape strategy by leveraging customer insights, market trends, and industry best practices to influence priorities and improve customer impact at scale.
As a people manager, you will create an inclusive, high-performing team culture focused on accountability, continuous learning, and professional growth. You will support employee development, guide execution, and help your team build the skills and capabilities needed to deliver outstanding customer experiences and business results.
Please note that this role includes direct customer engagement and collaboration with technical and business decision makers. As such, it follows Microsoft's hybrid work model and requires regular in-person customer and team interactions as business needs dictate.

Responsibilities
- Drive operational excellence across customer engagements, ensuring governance, risk management, compliance, and alignment to business objectives.
- Lead teams in identifying and growing cross-solution opportunities that accelerate cloud adoption, security, resilience, AI innovation, and customer value.
- Ensure delivery of well-architected, secure, and cost-optimized solutions that drive customer success, adoption, retention, and expansion.
- Remove blockers, mitigate risks, and lead the resolution of complex customer and technical challenges to maximize business outcomes.
- Coach teams to translate customer business challenges into innovative Microsoft solutions that deliver measurable business value and ROI.
- Build trusted relationships with technical and executive stakeholders, influencing technology strategy and accelerating solution adoption.
- Act as the voice of the customer by sharing insights, identifying trends, and influencing product improvements, roadmaps, and strategic initiatives.
- Mobilize resources across Microsoft to enhance customer experience, address risks proactively, and drive successful business transformation.
- Deliver success through empowerment and accountability by modeling Microsoft's culture and values, coaching teams to achieve outcomes, and investing in the growth, development, and well-being of employees.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning by driving technical readiness, skills development, certifications, and knowledge sharing across the organization.
- Lead innovation by identifying solution gaps, improving methodologies, and driving scalable approaches that increase customer impact.
- Provide thought leadership internally and externally, influencing technical strategy, industry conversations, and the adoption of Microsoft technologies.
- Guide teams in developing reusable intellectual property, sharing best practices, and contributing to technical communities and industry events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 10+ years of experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting
- OR equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of people management experience, including managing consultant practice managers, technical sales managers, technical architect managers, and/or people managers.
- Global collaboration is integral to our work at Microsoft, and proficiency in English is essential for effective communication in this role.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 15+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting
- OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 12+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting
- OR equivalent experience.
- 8+ years experience working in a customer-facing role (e.g., internal and/or external).
- 8+ years experience leading technical projects, teams, or functions.
- Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications).
- 8+ years people management experience, including managing consultant practice managers, technical sales managers, technical architect managers, and/or people managers.
