Customer Success Engineering (CSE) within the Commercial Engineering and AI (CEAI) organization builds and manages critical products and services that Microsoft runs on. Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members to solve business and technical problems and use AI tools to improve productivity and learning.
  • Develop, test, deploy, and maintain software solutions and experiences for Microsoft Industry Solutions Delivery (ISD) and Customer Experience & Success (CE&S) businesses.
  • Implement features, enhancements, engineering patterns, coding standards, security requirements, and operational best practices.
  • Leverage modern engineering practices and AI-assisted development tools to improve development efficiency and code quality.
  • Analyze telemetry, logs, and operational data to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and improve service reliability.
  • Contribute to team knowledge repositories and maintain accurate technical documentation.
  • Partner with peer teams to deliver solutions and support broader business objectives.
  • Follow Responsible AI, security, privacy, and compliance requirements when building and operating software solutions.
  • Learn and adopt emerging technologies, including AI-powered development practices, with guidance from the team.


Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR 1+ years of equivalent work experience.
  • Good development experience using Azure resources and services.
  • Good exposure to Azure DevOps (VSO), Git, and modern engineering practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience or exposure to React and/or other JavaScript frameworks is a plus.
  • Good experience using Microsoft technology stack and/or other languages (.NET Framework, ASP.NET, C#, PowerShell, SQL).
  • Ability to use App Insights and Kusto for troubleshooting and operational analysis.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Additional or preferred qualifications

  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot is good to have.
  • Awareness of Responsible AI principles
  • Familiarity with Azure AI services
  • Basic awareness or exposure to AI concepts such as LLMs, prompt engineering, agents, and RAG
