Overview

The Regional Partner Development Manager (PDM) is responsible for accelerating Microsoft cloud growth through strategic partner engagement across a designated region. The PDM drives partner performance, capability development, and business transformation to enable partners to build profitable Microsoft practices, scale customer impact, and deliver against Microsoft's strategic priorities.This role serves as the primary regional leader for a portfolio of strategic partners, distributors, and ecosystem stakeholders. The PDM influences partner executives, orchestrates field and corporate resources, and drives execution of initiatives across Solution Areas including AI, Security, Modern Work, Azure, Business Applications, and Digital & App Innovation.Success is measured through partner business growth, cloud consumption, customer acquisition, Copilot and AI adoption, solution deployment, services creation, and partner capability development.



Responsibilities

Partner Business Leadership

  • Own regional business outcomes across an assigned portfolio of strategic partners.
  • Develop and execute partner business plans aligned with Microsoft priorities and regional growth objectives.
  • Drive cloud revenue, consumption, customer adds, renewals, and solution area performance.
  • Establish executive relationships with partner leadership teams and serve as a trusted advisor.
  • Conduct regular business reviews, performance assessments, and growth planning sessions.

Partner Transformation and Capability Development

  • Lead partners through business model transformation toward cloud, AI, managed services, and recurring revenue models.
  • Drive development of partner capabilities across sales, technical, services, support, and customer success functions.
  • Promote adoption of Microsoft designations, specializations, solution plays, and marketplace motions.
  • Help partners create scalable service offerings and repeatable customer solutions.

AI and Copilot Growth

  • Accelerate Microsoft AI and Copilot adoption across partner portfolios.
  • Drive readiness, solution packaging, managed services, and customer deployment motions.
  • Enable partners to develop AI-powered offerings and differentiated customer value propositions.
  • Partner with technical and sales teams to remove blockers and scale execution.

Ecosystem Orchestration

  • Coordinate activities across local markets, regional leadership, Microsoft field teams, and corporate stakeholders.
  • Create alignment between Partner Development Managers, Partner Technology Strategists, Cloud Solution Architects, Customer Success Units, and Solution Area leaders.
  • Share and scale best practices across countries and partners.
  • Drive consistency of execution and governance across the region.

Performance Management

  • Monitor business performance and identify growth opportunities and risks.
  • Build executive insights using partner, customer, and market data.
  • Establish corrective action plans when performance gaps are identified.
  • Ensure high-quality pipeline management and forecasting discipline.

Strategic Initiatives

  • Lead regional programs and initiatives supporting Microsoft commercial priorities.
  • Identify emerging market opportunities and market risks.
  • Influence partner investment decisions based on customer demand and market trends.
  • Contribute to regional business planning and fiscal year strategy development.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Operations, Computer Science or a related field AND 10+ years experience in partner management, sales, business development, or partner channel development in the technology industry or related experience OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven record of driving business growth through ecosystem partners.
  • Experience engaging and influencing executives and business owners.
  • Deep understanding of cloud platforms, enterprise technology, and partner business models.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience in cloud transformation, AI, cybersecurity, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience managing regional or multi-country partner portfolios.
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft's commercial ecosystem and partner programs.
  • MBA or advanced business degree preferred.
