The Sales Enablement & Operations (SE&O) team plays an essential role in translating Microsoft’s Commercial Strategy to a local execution plan and driving operational excellence to achieve the greatest results possible. Our team drives cross-Region, cross-Area and cross-Subsidiary insight and execution excellence, bringing strategy and priorities to life by accelerating the pace of transformation and enabling Microsoft to deliver business impact at scale.

We are looking to hire a Director, Go-To-Market (GTM) Management for Security Programs where you will be at the forefront of driving our go-to-market strategies, leading a team, and shaping marketing success. You’ll act as a thought leader, developing marketing strategies that align with our business goals. Your ability to track success criteria and performance metrics will be crucial in driving impactful outcomes. You will be working with emergent technology requires simplifying complex concepts. You’ll excel at creating alignment across teams, removing roadblocks, and ensuring seamless execution. In this role you will need to excel at working closely with the field, corporate, and cross-functional marketing teams.

Responsibilities

As a business leader, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and market success. Here are your key responsibilities:

Business Leadership

  • Collaborates closely with various business areas to drive go-to-market (GTM) strategies and programs for aligned Solution Plays. Your focus will be on identifying growth opportunities in the market and creating clear execution plans. You will influence and coach field teams, sales operations, and marketing plans. Your expertise will be crucial in converting strategic priorities into effective local execution and partner across Microsoft core teams to ensure that the voice of the field is integrated into strategy development and program design.
  • You will land and champion solution plays, ensuring connected sales and marketing execution across all segments and collaborate closely with partner teams to develop local partner-led marketing strategies and demand generation initiatives that support solution play performance while championing Microsoft’s strategy and Solution Areas, building a strong industry presence.
  • You will shape the success of our offerings and advocate as the voice of the Customer, Partners, and Field. Provide thought leadership on competitive landscape, solution area gaps, sales trends and your insights will drive improvements in our GTM plan as you grow organizational capability by providing true insights, learnings, and identifying blockers for leaders, managers, and sellers and implement standardized rhythms and tools that increase customer and partner-facing time for sellers by activating leaders and managers by optimizing investments and resources, leveraging data-driven analysis.

Field Enablement

  • Proactively drives revenue in partnership with key stakeholders. Drives pipeline and sales enablement. Ensures segments understand issues and mitigation strategies. Manages escalations as required.
  • Align, influence and coach field teams, to ensure connected execution for the Solution Area.
  • Lands and champions Security sales plays, activating connected sales and marketing execution in every segment to maximize performance and share.
  • Identifies failure points and orchestrates resources to mitigate.

People Management

  • Delivers success through empowerment and accountability by modeling, coaching, and caring.
  • Boundary-less leader who pursues the right outcomes to achieve success.
  • Grows organization capability to drive true insights, learnings and blockers for leaders, managers, and sellers.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years marketing strategy, business planning, sales enablement, business development, technical pre-sales, or related work experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • 12+ years marketing strategy, business planning, sales enablement, business development, technical pre-sales, or related work experience AND Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field OR equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years experience managing and expanding a product/solution portfolio and driving demand generation and pipeline acceleration within a complex (e.g., multinational or matrixed) organization.
  • 5+ years people management experience.5+ years of enterprise GTM experience with more than two of the following: create and orchestrate strategic go-to-market plans; build, develop, and execute sales enablement strategy; drive marketing and partner programs; business planning; customer and market analysis; Go-to-Market strategy and execution; end-to-end customer journey, competitive market analysis and positioning; organize and drive product roadmaps; develop insights from market research; or related.
  • 2+ years of enterprise marketing, sales, or delivery experience in ANY of the following security solutions: Cloud security technologies and frameworks, Security operations, Threat Intelligence, Cyber Incident Response, Cyber Defense methodologies, Cybersecurity, OS Security, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, Microsoft security solutions (M365 Defender, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel) or technologies such as Prisma Cloud, Crowdstrike, Proofpoint, Splunk, or related.


Field Product Marketing M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
