Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable, reliable distributed systems supporting commerce platforms such as Offers, Catalog, CommerceIQ, and transactional systems
- Develop and maintain high-scale services and data pipelines for offer lifecycle, ingestion, and data modeling
- Leverage AI-assisted engineering tools and modern development practices to accelerate development, improve code quality, and increase engineering productivity
- Build and integrate AI-driven capabilities such as anomaly detection, intelligent routing, and insights into commerce platforms
- Contribute to platform modernization by improving system consistency and enabling reusable platform capabilities
- Ensure high standards for reliability, performance, and operational excellence
- Collaborate across engineering, product, and data science teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud
background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
- Experience building full stack applications and distributed systems (backend services, APIs, and/or frontend)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred), APIs, and service-oriented architecture
- Communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to enhance engineering effectiveness, coupled with a strong curiosity and commitment to continuous learning in the field of Artificial Intelligence.
- Exposure to AI/ML/Data Sciences or data-driven systems, including working with models, data pipelines, or intelligent features
Software Engineering IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $85,400 - $168,100 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $111,100 - $183,700 per year.
