The EMEA AI Business Solutions Consulting Practice Lead for Workforce is a senior leadership role accountable for scaling Microsoft’s AI-led business transformation impact across EMEA. The role leads a high-performing technical team across solution architecture and consulting capability, with responsibility for Workforce strategy, practice and AI capability building. You will oversee an organization of three Solution Architect Managers and their respective teams of Architects and Consultants. You will act as a strategic bridge between customers, sales, delivery, product and engineering, this leader drives AI market growth, shapes high-value AI and Copilot opportunities, ensures solution integrity, drives revenue, consumption, margin and utilization outcomes, and sponsors complex engagements with Microsoft’s most strategic customers. Success requires deep consulting leadership, strong AI and Microsoft platform expertise, proven ability to lead large multi-country teams, and the executive presence to build customer trust, accelerate transformation, and position Microsoft as the partner of choice for AI-powered workforce reinvention.

This is a founding leadership opportunity: you will stand up and scale a new EMEA Workforce Practice, uniting Workforce Architects and Consultants into a single, dedicated capability that leads Microsoft’s fastest-growing frontier, the Copilot and agentic opportunity. Workforce is one half of AI Business Solutions’ “one engine”, operating hand in hand with Business Process, and this leader is accountable for a strong, durable partnership with the Areas, including dedicated presales support, a shared pipeline, and continuity for in-flight customer engagements. Responsibilities

People Management

Customer Focus

  • Creates a customer-centric culture within the practice that drives transformation through the Microsoft AI Business Solutions portfolio, AI agents and Copilot. Ensures customer satisfaction at the practice level by maintaining stakeholder relationships, reviewing and acting on voice of customer feedback (e.g., surveys, listening systems), sharing learnings across practices, alleviating customer blockers as a point of escalation, manage customer escalations and resolve issues at the practice level. Sponsoring systemic improvements to customer experience with a consulting mindset.
  • Holds accountability for portfolio, solution, and financial management in presales and oversees Workforce delivery engagements in collaboration with the Areas in EMEA.
  • Supports strategic relationships with key stakeholders in the customer portfolio, to ensure service delivery is on track and major issues are being anticipated, identified, and managed. Establishes accountabilities, when appropriate, to drive customer outcomes and ensure internal stakeholders are in place.
  • Brings an industry point of view to AI Business Solutions and our clients that helps the teams understand the context of the implementation, how a client can achieve the most value and focus areas for delivery.

Strategy and Practice Building

  • This role is accountable for Workforce practice growth in EMEA by identifying scalable opportunities, driving reuse, and advancing Microsoft’s AI-led transformation
  • Lead the practice along the AI First journey by embedding AI into ways of working, delivery motions, and customer value creation.
  • Builds organizational capability by leveraging industry knowledge to anticipate and plan for future capability needs, investing in key professional development opportunities for team members, conducting succession planning, defining career development plans, and providing coaching.
  • Leads key practice operating mechanisms (e.g., capacity planning, hiring, feedback discussions, skilling plans, delivery excellence).
  • Builds trusted relationships with other Microsoft teams and with our external partners. Manages partner relationships and deliveries. Champions Microsoft AI strategy internally and externally.

Delivery Excellence

  • Orchestrates cross-functional team to drive business growth, profitability, utilization, maturity, quality, etc., through delivery by leading a rhythm of business (ROB), fostering a culture of excellence, promoting teamwork and collaboration, recognizing, and aligning team strengths to capability needs, and leveraging diverse perspectives to understand customers.
  • Governs areas of fiscal responsibility, through delivery team, staying within budget while driving engagement profitability and risk management.
  • Leads forecasting rhythm (e.g., business rhythms) for key Microsoft metrics, including sales metrics, revenue, consumption, and utilization to predict business results.
  • Drives internal revenue targets by providing sales and delivery team guidance and monitoring progress through forecasting, project health reviews, portfolio reviews, etc. Collaborates and guides sales team on pre-sales and sales closure.

  • Accelerated AI market growth across EMEA: new Copilot and agentic opportunities shaped, won, and delivered at scale. You will be accountable for the deployment of influenced Copilot seats.
  • Strong financial performance: revenue, consumption (MAU)/agentic consumption, margin, and utilization targets met or exceeded across the Workforce portfolio.
  • A thriving Workforce Practice: a growing, highly skilled team of Architects and Consultants with clear career paths and deep AI capability.
  • Delighted customers and a strong Area partnership: high satisfaction, strong customer references, and a durable, trusted relationship with the EMEA Area teams.
  • Repeatable impact: reusable IP, delivery accelerators, and best practices that scale value beyond any single engagement.

Qualifications
  • Passion for AI and an AI-first mindset, with experience leveraging AI tools to enhance day-to-day operations, customer impact, and business outcomes.
  • Extensive experience designing, advising on, and delivering AI-enabled business solutions
  • Consulting delivery leadership experience, including Practice, Portfolio, and Project P&L management.
  • Significant People management experience, ideally managing consultant delivery managers, technical sales managers, and/or technical architect managers
  • Demonstrated success in pre-sales and/or sales roles, with a proven track record of driving customer outcomes and business growth.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
