Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) powers our cloud services. As Business Support Services Manager, you will play a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services, including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform.

Our APAC infrastructure includes a large portfolio of leased and built data centers in 11 countries, housing millions of servers. Our foundation is managed by a team of subject matter experts supporting services for billions of customers and millions of businesses in Asia.

As the Business Support Services Manager, you will lead a regional team of Business Analysts and DC Operations Specialist responsible for running the Business Operations transactional engine. This will include PO and Invoice management, accrual management, developing BI dashboards and driving meaningful insights into transactional data. You will also drive business process transformation using our latest AI tool suite.

Responsibilities

Manager, Business Operations. Lead the Transact Engine for Queries, PO and Invoice Management. Development of BI Dashboard to track operations key performance indicators.

Purchase Order Management

  • Oversee the creation, amendment, and closure of purchase orders in line with approved requisitions and procurement policy

  • Ensure PO accuracy (pricing, quantities, terms, coding) and resolve discrepancies with requesters and suppliers

  • Monitor open PO reports and drive timely closure of aged or obsolete POs

Supplier Invoice Operations

  • Manage the supplier invoice submission process, ensuring invoices are received, validated, and matched (2-way/3-way) accurately and on time

  • Work closely with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice exceptions, mismatches, and payment queries

  • Monitor invoice cycle times and reduce processing bottlenecks and error rates

  • Support supplier onboarding and maintain accurate vendor master data

Contract Approval Routing

  • Administer the contract approval workflow, ensuring contracts are routed to the correct approvers per the delegation of authority matrix

  • Track contract approval status, escalate delays, and maintain a complete audit trail

  • Maintain the contract repository, including key dates, renewals, and expiry alerts

  • Liaise with Legal, Finance, and business stakeholders to keep the approval process moving

BI Dashboards & Analytics

  • Own the delivery of BI dashboards and reporting produced by the team, providing leadership and stakeholders with visibility into procurement

  • Define the dashboard and reporting roadmap, prioritizing requests and aligning outputs with business needs

  • Ensure dashboards are accurate, timely, and well-maintained, with clear data definitions and a single source of truth

  • Oversee data quality across procurement systems (PO, invoice, and contract data) that feeds reporting and analytics

  • Translate operational data into insights and recommendations (e.g., spend visibility, cycle times, exception trends, supplier performance)

  • Partner with Finance, IT, and Data teams on data models, system integrations, and BI tooling (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 6+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement Operations, Procurement or related field AND 6+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement.

  • 6+ years of people management with excellent cross-cultural awareness

  • 6+ years’ experience in leading and influencing a diverse organization of full-time employees across multiple disciplines, platforms, cultures, and countries

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in sourcing and contracting. Ability to negotiate contracts to drive long-term win-win for Microsoft and our suppliers.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical capabilities, data analysis, and attention to detail.

  • Practical experience in driving business process automation using AI

  • Black Belt certification is a plus

  • Data Center Procurement Experience is a huge plus.
