Within Azure Data, the Microsoft Fabric platform team builds and maintains the operating system and provides customers a unified data stack to run an entire data estate. The platform provides a unified experience, unified governance, enables a unified business model and a unified architecture.
The Production Engineering team is hiring an Engineering Manager in Bangalore to lead a team focused on agent engineering, incident management, and fix delivery in close partnership with product groups. This team operates at the intersection of platform reliability and agent‑driven automation, driving signal‑to‑fix workflows and improving production resilience at scale. As a peer to other platform leads, this Engineering Manager will own end‑to‑end execution across incident response, root cause remediation, and the development of agentic capabilities that accelerate detection and resolution. The role is unique in combining deep SRE ownership with forward‑looking investment in AI‑driven engineering systems, requiring strong cross‑team coordination, execution discipline, and the ability to operate effectively across distributed leadership and complex dependencies

Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end incident management and fix delivery across the Fabric Platform, driving rapid mitigation, root cause resolution, and sustained reliability improvements.
*Partner closely with product engineering teams to prioritize and execute high-impact fixes, ensuring clear ownership and measurable outcomes.
*Build and scale agent-driven engineering capabilities to accelerate signal detection, diagnosis, and automated resolution (signal-to-fix).
*Establish strong execution discipline through metrics, dashboards, and operational rhythms that improve visibility, prioritization, and accountability.
*Develop and grow a high-performing team, fostering engineering excellence across SRE practices, cross-team collaboration, and production ownership.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ Years of people management experience.
Preferred/Additional Qualifications
*Experience working with multi-region, multi-tenant, large scale production systems lti-region, multi-tenant, large scale production systems
*Experience with building multi layered autonomous agent systems
