PRINCIPAL PROGRAM MANAGER
Operations
Singapore
Your opportunity to get in early on the fastest growing analytics platform on the market, Microsoft Fabric. The Microsoft Fabric team is looking for a Principal Product Manager to own the Eventstream connector ecosystem — the on-ramps that bring data into Microsoft Fabric's Real-Time Intelligence platform from across the enterprise. Our mission is to make Fabric the easiest and most trusted place to land any stream of data, from any source, securely, at enterprise scale.
This is a high-ownership, high-growth space. The connector catalog has grown from a handful of sources to 30+, monthly active connectors have scaled past tens of thousand instances across thousands of organizations, and the business is compounding quickly. You will own where it goes next: a 10x expansion of the connectors catalog, a partner-built connector ecosystem, and the enterprise-grade security and networking work that turns pilots into production deployments.
You'll join a team that collaborates closely with Microsoft's Azure Data engineering organization to build the data platform for the age of AI — powering a new class of data-first, AI-first applications and a data culture that empowers every person and every organization to achieve more with their data.
Microsoft is a company where passionate innovators come to collaborate, envision what can be and take their careers further. This is a world of more possibilities, more innovation, more openness, and the sky is the limit thinking in a cloud-enabled world.
Responsibilities
- Own connector strategy and the catalog roadmap: decide which sources to build, buy, or enable through partners, and grow the catalog by an order of magnitude while raising the bar on reliability and time-to-value for every connector.
- Build the partner ecosystem: Drive the Custom Connector framework that lets customers and ISV partners build, certify, and monetize their own connectors - taking it from preview to GA, including the security, billing, and compliance (CELA) work that makes it enterprise-ready.
- Lead the hard enterprise work that unblocks production adoption: VNet and on-premises connectivity, TLS/mTLS with customer-managed certificates, the networking and isolation guarantees large enterprises require, as well as any other enterprise promises.
- Own the business. Carry connector MAU, capacity units (CU), and active tenants as the metrics that tie directly back to Eventstream revenue, and run the space with the discipline of a P&L owner.
- Partner with engineering to ship. Work day-to-day with a connector engineering team, providing clear specs, crisp prioritization, and the follow-through that keeps a fast-moving team unblocked.
- Drive strategic customer success. Work directly with strategic enterprise customers across Asia - in their timezone and their context - to land production deployments and turn their requirements into roadmap.
