As a Principal Security Specialist, you will lead security strategy for some of the most complex and strategic customers within the Sales Unit. You will combine technical expertise with business insight to support digital transformation, including artificial intelligence, and engage with senior leaders such as Chief Information Security Officers.
In this role, you will collaborate across teams, contribute to high-impact customer engagements, and help build trusted, long-term relationships while sharing knowledge and best practices with peers.

Responsibilities
- Sales and Technical Leadership
Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, including Chief Information Security Officers and Chief Information Officers, connecting cybersecurity solutions to business priorities and risk outcomes. Lead technical and architectural discussions across security, infrastructure, and artificial intelligence scenarios. - Customer Engagement and Solution Alignment
Work closely with customers to align Microsoft Security and partner solutions to their needs, including secure data, cyber resilience, and modern security operations. Support complex engagements that drive digital transformation and long-term value. - Sales Execution
Contribute to strategic opportunities by applying competitive insights, supporting high-impact deals, and helping customers make informed business and technical decisions. Collaborate across teams to strengthen customer relationships and expand adoption. - Collaboration and Coaching
Partner with sales, technical, and partner teams to share knowledge, co-sell solutions, and improve overall team capability. Provide guidance and feedback to support consistent, high-quality customer engagements. - Orchestration and Delivery
Coordinate across account teams, engineering, partners, and customer success to accelerate solution deployment and measurable outcomes. Maintain a disciplined approach to execution and customer value realization. - Continuous Learning and Thought Leadership
Bring industry insights and market perspective into customer conversations. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and contribute to building awareness of emerging cybersecurity trends.
Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field AND 7+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience OR 9+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience.
- Professional proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, executives, and cross-functional stakeholders in both written and verbal business environments.
Additional or preferred qualifications
- Master's Degree in Business Administration (e.g., MBA), Information Technology, or related field AND 8+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, or related field AND 10+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience OR 11+ years of technology-related sales or account management experience.
- 6+ years of solution or services sales experience
