Role Description

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic content editor to join our team.

You’ll work across a range of clients and sectors, owning content planning and delivery across your accounts.

Content quality is paramount to what we do, so your attention to detail and proof-reading/editing skills will be second to none. You’ll be comfortable working with others, across the content team and the wider business, to ensure our content delivers at all levels.

Communication will be a core skill, as you’ll be working closely with client stakeholders to understand their brand - and reflecting their requirements in the work we produce. You will also be working closely with other talented people within our agency, to maximise the impact of our work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading content delivery on assigned accounts (across a range of industries), and ensuring agreed strategy is implemented as directed.
  • Holding responsibility for the quality and consistency of all content produced on your accounts – and raising standards where necessary.
  • Reviewing and proof-reading content to ensure our output meets client expectations. Auditing existing client content and offering recommendations for improvement.
  • Generating content of various kinds including commercial, informational, engaging and campaign copy, as required.
  • Briefing and delegating content to the writing team on a weekly basis.
  • Mentoring members of our writing team; providing constructive feedback and making suggestions for development – including holding group calls or workshops if necessary.
  • Working closely with our Senior Editors and Editorial Team Manager to develop your own personal goals and professional skills.
  • Working closely with the wider Experience Content team and external teams, including Client Success (CS), SEO and Design, encouraging communication and collaboration.
  • Building client relationships, attending client meetings and calls where required – including QBRs.
  • Regularly reviewing our content to measure how it’s performing relative to client expectations. Sharing useful insights and impressive results with your managers and the team.
  • Supporting senior team members on new business opportunities, with existing clients or potential prospects.
  • Developing content plans, producing timelines for delivery and keeping track of work statuses – flagging any expected delays.
  • Monitoring content trends and relevant industry news and sharing this with the wider team.
  • Contributing to team discussions and sharing learnings from your own accounts, in the Editors’ Team Monthly and other internal settings.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Proven content experience, with some experience of managing content creation and delivery.
  • A basic knowledge of SEO content principles and tools.
  • A basic knowledge of emerging AI principles and tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and campaigns for brands.
  • Ability to tailor content to a range of sectors and audiences.
  • Professional proof-reading experience and the ability to evaluate content effectively.
  • Creativity - the ability to contribute ideas that stand out in group meetings, and with clients.
  • Excellent organisational skills. Experience with project management tools is desirable, but not essential.
  • A solid understanding of commercial value, and measuring the success/failure of a project.
  • Ability to work efficiently – and suggest ways/innovations to make things more efficient.
  • Comfortable with a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and dealing with colleagues at all levels.
  • A passion for content marketing, and a willingness to truly immerse yourself in client campaigns.
