Role Description
The Client Success Account Director will report directly to the Global Business Director and will play a pivotal leadership role across client portfolios. You will act as the strategic digital lead across multiple accounts, partnering closely with internal specialist teams and senior client stakeholders to drive business growth, lead innovative digital strategies, and elevate operational excellence. The role requires an exceptional understanding of digital marketing channels and the ability to guide multi-disciplinary teams to deliver best-in-class work. You will be responsible for identifying growth opportunities within your portfolio, developing long-term client roadmaps, and ensuring the delivery of outstanding performance and service.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Digital Leadership
- Serve as the strategic lead for key client relationships, driving cross-channel strategies that deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Provide deep expertise across digital channels (PPC, SEO, Affiliates, Social, Programmatic), and lead integration of these to form cohesive client solutions.
- Partner with internal teams (including Planning, Strategy, Channels, and Insights) to proactively identify opportunities to improve performance, efficiency, and innovation.
- Stay ahead of market trends and innovations to bring forward-thinking ideas to client strategies and agency practice.
- Lead the development and communication of annual and quarterly strategic plans, forecasts, and roadmaps.
Client & Portfolio Management
- Own senior client relationships and act as a trusted business advisor.
- Develop and maintain account growth plans and pipeline forecasts; identify and convert upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
- Ensure operational excellence through oversight of delivery, campaign health, and strategic reporting.
- Resolve challenges quickly and effectively, balancing client satisfaction with agency objectives.
- Represent the agency in client QBRs, executive meetings, and strategic workshops.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and inspire a cross-functional client success team, setting clear goals, providing constructive feedback, and championing career development.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture rooted in accountability, learning, and shared success.
- Support resourcing, onboarding, and development of team members.
- Provide mentorship to Associate Directors and Managers, elevating their client and commercial acumen.
Innovation & Thought Leadership
- Drive the creation of industry POVs, trend analysis, and actionable insights that contribute to client and agency growth.
- Champion test-and-learn approaches, pilot programs, and innovative partnerships.
- Share best practices and learning across the wider Client Success and agency teams.
