About the Role

Kinesso is looking for a high-impact eCommerce Director to lead and expand our UK commerce practice. In this senior role, you’ll manage a talented team of 7 specialists and oversee operations, planning and activation of retail media, whilst growing other commerce capabilities. You’ll be directly responsible for shaping and delivering cutting-edge commerce solutions for some of the UK’s biggest and most ambitious brands.

Key clients you’ll work with include Kenvue (health & beauty), Dyson (electronics) & Mattel (toys & games), providing a rich variety of situations within day-to-day work.

You’ll also work with and be supported by the global commerce team and particularly the EMEA commerce team, which is also based in the UK.

This is a rare opportunity to sit at the intersection of media, data, and technology, driving forward the future of commerce across key platforms, retailers, and marketplaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead and mentor a team of 7 eCommerce professionals, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture
  • Define team priorities and structure to meet evolving client needs and market dynamics
  • Client Strategy & Delivery
  • Own senior client relationships and act as a trusted advisor on eCommerce strategy, growth, and innovation
  • Lead integrated commerce programs across media, retail media networks, marketplaces, and D2C
  • Product & Innovation
  • Champion the development and roll-out of new commerce capabilities, measurement frameworks, and tools
  • Stay ahead of trends in retail media, shoppable content, dynamic creative, and commerce data
  • Commercial Ownership
  • Drive revenue growth across existing and new clients
  • Collaborate with business development teams on RFPs, pitches, and cross-sell opportunities
  • Collaboration
  • Work closely with partners across IPG, including media, tech, and data units, to deliver integrated solutions
  • Represent Kinesso’s commerce vision in the market, including speaking engagements and industry events

What We're Looking For

  • Strong eCommerce experience, ideally with exposure to both media and retail/marketplace execution
  • Proven leadership experience, including line management and team development
  • Deep knowledge of UK retail media networks, Amazon, social commerce, and/or D2C strategies
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience owning P&Ls or revenue targets
  • Comfortable operating in fast-moving, matrixed environments with senior stakeholders
