Role Description

The role is headquarters (HQ) focused for Mediabrands and will report into the Financial Controller. The job will require you to work closely with the rest of the Reporting Finance team and to business partner with the HQ’s stakeholders, ensuring the smooth running of the agency’s finances.

The Finance team consists of 80 permanent staff headed up by the EMEA CFO. The department adds value to the agencies within Mediabrands by providing operational support and best practice.

The Finance Manager will contribute towards the monthly financial reporting and budgeting/forecasting of the UK HQ, Ireland HQ, EMEA HQ and Global HQ entities, in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the accurate and timely month end reporting of the 4 Mediabrands HQ entities (UK, Ireland, EMEA and Global)
  • Budgeting and forecasting for the HQ entities with detailed analysis, this will include regular meetings with stakeholders (including HR, IT, Facilities, UK CFO) and review with Financial Controller.
  • Own the recharges process, including the budget workings, from the HQ entities to the brand entities.
  • Approve Invoices, Journal entries and ISRs. This will involve supporting the Finance Apprentice to ensure the correct coding is used.
  • Managing the RSU/LTI monthly accounting process as per Khalix/Longview and performing reconciliations to ensure postings are aligned.
  • Group Payroll responsibility, including reviewing quarterly balance sheet reconciliations (including Loans to Employees, Payroll Payable and Payroll Taxes Payable), payroll consolidation file monthly updates for the wider finance team to use and business partnering closely with the Payroll/Rewards Manager.
  • Overseeing and managing the PSA process annually and working closely with IPG tax to submit accurately to HMRC.
  • Coaching and development of two direct reports.
  • Maintaining confidentiality with sensitive information, including payroll and settlement calculations.
  • Maintaining a strong internal control environment across the business consistent with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements and wider IPG financial policies.
  • Adhoc tasks as directed by the Financial Controller, Head of Reporting UK, UK CFO, EMEA CFO and EMEA Finance Director.
