The Opportunity

We’re seeking a Digital Media Performance Planning Manager with deep expertise Digital media planning primarily on Search, Social, and Programmatic platforms to lead integrated digital strategies for a leading educational institution across the APAC region. The role requires someone who thrives in complex, multi-market environments and can bring clarity, insight, and performance excellence to digital media planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Integrated Channel Strategy

  • Develop and manage cross-channel media strategies across Search (Google Ads), Social (Meta, LinkedIn), Programmatic (DV360) and other channels.
  • Balance upper, mid and lower-funnel objectives with strategic media channel planning tailored for education and language learning audiences.

Regional Multi-Market Planning

  • Lead digital campaigns across multiple APAC markets, ensuring alignment with regional strategy while adapting to local market nuances and consumer behavior.
  • Work closely with market teams to maintain strategic consistency and local relevance.

Client Leadership & Consultation

  • Serve as the performance media lead for the British Council’s regional digital marketing team.
  • Offer proactive strategic counsel, insights beyond the numbers, and ongoing thought partnership with internal and external stakeholders.

Performance Analytics & Optimization

  • Monitor campaign performance across the funnel using tools like Google Analytics, Campaign Manager, Looker Studio, and Excel.
  • Drive data-informed decisions, optimization plans, and actionable insights.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Act as the connective tissue between internal teams (creative, strategy, data), regional hubs, and local agency teams.
  • Manage communications across stakeholders and time zones, ensuring alignment and clarity.

Campaign Management & QA

  • Oversee the end-to-end execution of campaigns – from brief to launch – ensuring timely, accurate implementation and QA.
  • Maintain robust project workflows across always-on and time-sensitive initiatives.

Sector & Cultural Intelligence

  • Bring contextual understanding of the education sector and sensitivities associated with public institutions.
  • Ensure campaigns reflect cultural relevance and integrity across diverse APAC markets.

Presentation & Reporting

  • Prepare and present clear, compelling campaign reports, QBRs, and strategic recommendations.
  • Translate performance data into meaningful narratives for stakeholders at all levels.

Budget & Media Planning

  • Manage and track regional budgets across campaigns and platforms, ensuring optimal allocation and pacing.
  • Develop accurate media plans and forecasts aligned with business goals.

Agility & Problem Solving

  • Navigate shifting client needs, evolving briefs, and unexpected challenges with resilience and composure.
  • Act with a solutions-first mindset, offering proactive problem resolution and process improvements.

Ideally

  • 6-8 years of experience in digital media planning and performance marketing.
  • Strong hands-on experience with platforms like Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, DV360, and Google Analytics.
  • Proven track record of running successful campaigns across multiple APAC markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead client relationships and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of media KPIs, budget management, and planning tools.
  • Prior experience with education sector clients or government/public institutions is a plus.
