Role Description

An exciting opportunity to join the vibrant Well7 team and play a key role in developing the global brand for one of the world’s most profitable companies.

The Comms Director is tasked with playing a leading role within an integrated international planning and account team. You will work closely with the Head of Media Operations, Digital Director and Managing Partner to take this client to the next level in building their brand. You will play ensure outstanding day to day delivery across the business and the local markets we are responsible for.

At Well7 we have created IPGs first open architecture framework, providing a fully integrated agency solution across all facets of communications including Digital, Creative, Media, Sponsorship, PR, Data, Search and Social. We are looking for someone who has an excellent understanding of all media, to deliver ground-breaking, commercially successful work.

You will need to build excellent relationships with clients, all agency stakeholders, internal specialist business units and those working within your own team. You will have an ambition to get involved in the broader agency culture as well as building the Well7 reputation in the wider agency and industry.

Key Responsibilities

Delivering Brilliant Client Service:

  • Project manage multiple briefs, effectively prioritise and manage client's expectations
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of the international media landscape (core markets US, China, India, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, South Korea)
  • Demonstrate strong media planning credentials and possess a current knowledge of industry trends
  • Place the client’s needs at the heart of all delivery, building strong, meaningful relationships with client peers
  • Support the Head of Planning & Operations in building the right processes and procedures for effective day to day management
  • Lead the co-ordination of the local markets we are responsible for as well as direct vendor relationships
  • Alongside the Strategy, Insights and your team, lead the Well7 delivery of the overall media planning process, preparing and presenting response to briefs across all channels to senior clients
  • Work seamlessly with Strategy and Specialist teams to ensure brilliant thinking is turned into brilliant implementation
  • Challenge strategy and ideas to ensure they are remarkable and inspirational for our clients
  • Share knowledge and understanding across the team and wider agency

Being Commercially Aware:

  • Accountable for the accurate upkeep and delivery of the Well7 financial processes
  • Provide timely and accurate billings projections each month to the account leads (Head of Operations and Managing Partner)
  • Identify opportunities and build strategic recommendation alongside specialist business units to grow revenue for Well7

Driving Better Momentum:

  • Identify opportunities to provide thought-leadership and build content for external and internal PR
  • Alongside the Well7 leadership team develop and implement a learning agenda for your team and client
  • Input in the development of and review the Well7 client action plans
  • Collaborate and build close working relationships with third parties and media owners to bring innovation and new solutions to Well7

  • Encourage your team to attend and contribute to agency events & initiatives
  • Inspire, coach and guide teams in the delivery of fantastic work and the transformation of the business
  • Plan, direct, supervise and coordinate the work activities of the team
  • Support individual work styles and addresses team issues
  • Empower individuals to embrace change whilst using vision as a guide to manage team direction
  • Leads with integrity, honesty and trust
  • You will provide support to our regional functions and local markets when it comes to strategy & planning and other projects related to accelerating Well7 and IPG growth
  • Consider what you would do to make your Well7 better. Where do you think you can add value and how would you make that happen?

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Excellent in front of clients, in leading meetings and presenting to stakeholders
  • Experience in managing a team and enabling the development of those around you
  • Is experienced and well versed in all media and able to clearly articulate how communications can deliver a positive impact on our client’s business
  • Has international or multi market planning experience
  • A dedicated and motivated individual, who helps create and maintain a powerful team dynamic
  • Good communication skills, familiar with developing strong client and industry connections
  • Positive and pro-active with a curious and creative mindset
  • Highly ambitious, with a thirst for continually learning and delivering an improved Well7 product
