Role Description

Quality content is essential for any successful digital marketing campaign, and we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced content professional to join our digital performance marketing agency.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable overseeing and managing the creation of highly effective content projects for a range of impressive clients – accounts that you will help nurture and develop.

You’ll live and breathe the written word, bring a keen eye for detail, and muster a creative flair that enables you to tailor our approach to specific audience and client needs.

As part of our joined-up approach, you will be required to work closely with the wider Experience Content team, including our digital PR and social media experts, as well as experts in other departments such as SEO specialists, designers, strategists, and researchers.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing projects end-to-end with the assistance of our project managers. Holding responsibility for delivering efficiently, effectively and to agreed client deadlines.
  • Taking ownership of some of our biggest content accounts across a range of industries (both B2B and B2C). Implementing agreed strategy and being flexible to changing priorities.
  • Working with our strategists to develop new, exciting opportunities across our accounts – and pitch for new business.
  • Developing and deploying landscape-leading content marketing campaigns for clients, building strong and long-lasting business relationships in the process.
  • Holding ultimate responsibility for quality and consistency across all content produced on your accounts.
  • Briefing and reviewing content to ensure our output meets quality requirements – as well as improving existing content approaches.
  • Managing junior editors, supporting them to develop their content and client-facing skills, and encouraging their training and development.
  • Mentoring writers on your accounts, helping to upskill them in content creation, strategy and account management.
  • Running in-house workshops and presenting to the wider business on key content-related areas and activities.
  • Working with other craft account leads and our senior content team to make recommendations on content requirements for clients and prospects.
  • Working closely with the Editorial Team Manager and Head of Content, to ensure our best-in-class approach to content continues to develop.
  • Working with other operational teams on accounts, encouraging communication and collaboration.
  • Regularly problem-solving, identifying pain points and solutions, and supporting the team where issues arise.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on project progress and building rapport.
  • Full awareness of budgets and time required on content tasks and campaigns, for both monitoring ongoing work and pricing up new work.
  • Monitoring content and SEO trends and relevant industry news.
  • Taking responsibility for content performance tracking on your accounts and demonstrating clear value and successes relative to client KPIs.
  • Building and sharing case studies that demonstrate excellence in content delivery and performance.
  • Supporting the wider team to improve their performance tracking and reporting skills.
  • Actively contributing to the marketing of the department’s services, internally and externally.

Requirements:

  • Extensive content experience (where possible, NCTJ trained or similar).
  • A strong knowledge of SEO content essentials, and best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and campaigns for brands.
  • Ability to write and edit well for a range of sectors, channels and audiences, and adapt to specific compliance, TOV and style guidance as necessary.
  • Professional proof-reading experience and the ability to evaluate content effectively.
  • A good understanding of the impact of content on user experience, from structure and style to visual presentation and navigation.
  • Creativity - the ability to come up with head-turning ideas that match campaign objectives and enhance any group ideation.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • A good understanding of commercial value and measuring the success/failure of a project.
  • Effective communication skills, and the ability to provide feedback, offer suggestions and work collaboratively in a constructive, optimistic manner.
  • Comfortable with a dynamic, fast-paced environment and dealing with colleagues at all levels.
  • A passion for content marketing, and a willingness to truly immerse yourself in client campaigns.
  • Adept at using AI tools to find efficiencies within your ways of working.

What you’ll get

  • A role with a team and company at the forefront of digital marketing and content creation.
  • A role with the Performance Marketing Agency of the Year 2024.
  • Support and feedback from experts across a range of digital marketing disciplines.
  • The opportunity to work with a range of exciting global brands and household names.
