The role
The Investment Director is a senior role at Initiative responsible for managing the daily operation of the team, developing client investment strategies and go to market approaches and ensuring the successful activation of clients’ investments. Working with high profile and successful clients you will bring your media agency expertise to both our clients and our people.
You are adept at managing multiple high-level projects simultaneously, researching, and justifying media partner selection and negotiating multi-faceted media partnerships. You think strategically and work collaboratively with other Investment disciplines and with client team leaders in Strategy, Communications Design and Special Business Units to create Partner recommendations that deliver on client strategic goals and business objectives.
This role requires strong leadership skills and a passion for building high performing teams through resourcing, collaboration, learning and development, career development and positive team morale. You will help drive product excellence, innovative work and market leading media partner relationships and engagement.
About you
- 6+ years of agency experience in media planning and buying; 4+ years’ experience team leadership. • Excellent understanding of media across all disciplines (online and offline) and how to apply to deliver optimal client solutions.
- Exceptional media relationships at Group Sales Manager and Group Business Director level that delivers a competitive advantage to our clients.
- Detailed awareness of client business issues, industry trends, consumer trends, promotional resources, market status and competition.
- Understanding of the principles of marketing and advertising, as well as an understanding of media concepts and terms, creative and budget requirements.
- A critical thinker and problem-solver with analytical abilities and quantitative skills.
- Expert user across all core implementation and investment media systems.
- Strong knowledge of all Microsoft Office Systems; Word, Excel & PowerPoint
