Associate Performance Manager - Search & Social

Position Summary

In this role, you will manage, oversee and be responsible for all aspects of the client’s paid search and social media to meet their objects and be the primary point of contact for clients and other internal specialized units for your assigned accounts. You’re an excellent multi-tasker, strategist, strong creative background with the ability to get hands-on with the ideation & content creation process, and have the ability to see the big picture across social and digital media.

Key Responsibilities

The performance Manager will report into the Account Director and is responsible for managing all aspects of the client’s paid search and social media advertising.

PERFORMANCE

  • Execute campaigns within Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, SA360.
  • Proven ability to manage high volumes of campaigns effectively and efficiently.
  • Identifying how media can help meet objectives and address broader challenges facing clients' businesses and marketing efforts.
  • Serving as an expert on the client's business, industry, competitors, key drivers, and environment, and identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Providing sound reasoning for challenging clients on briefs and suggesting alternative approaches that could better meet marketing objectives.
  • Creating custom implementation strategies for clients, including optimal weights, placements, and buying parameters.
  • Analysing and evaluating media proposals without guidance, using core principles of the buying process, including analysing and predicting audiences and costs, and tracking and optimizing results.
  • Constantly seeking ways to improve and enhance schedules to effectively achieve communication goals and cost efficiency.
  • Assessing delivery against plan and negotiating makegoods to address shortfalls.
  • Providing post-campaign reports detailing results against planned KPIs, expenditure, communication goals, and campaign effectiveness, including learnings and recommendations for future campaigns.
  • Identifying and presenting new, innovative, and relevant communication ideas or organic growth opportunities to clients.
  • Handling conflicts effectively, seeing them as opportunities, reading situations quickly, and resolving disputes fairly.

CLIENT

  • Manage weekly, monthly, quarterly reporting, analysis and insights alone with the performance manager.
  • Responsible for maximising client retention and growth.
  • Effectively manages client expectations and communicates with them about status updates, resourcing changes and deadlines.
  • Serves as a trusted advisor to clients on media-related matters and provides expert insights on their industry, competitors, and key drivers.
  • Leads and manages client meetings/daily WIPs and updates, ensuring that campaigns and market updates include action items.

PEOPLE

  • Ensure appropriate leave planning of the team and expectations are set internally and with the client.
  • Work towards achieving zero errors/write offs.
  • Create an environment of open communication with the team and keep them informed about changes, updates in policies/procedures etc.
  • Motivates team to exceed client expectations and produce high-quality work.
  • Takes responsibility for team's quality of work and success.
  • Manages workflow and resource allocation in the team effectively.
  • Provides support and guidance to team members to help them learn best practices.
  • Works closely with the Director to manage and develop team members' careers through coaching and feedback.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 3-6 years’ experience in account management
  • Hands on experience with Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, Bing search and social platforms is a must
  • Excellent client management and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity & changes, works well under pressure, and thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong track record to meet deadlines and work on multiple projects, strong organizational skills, excellent communicator with all stakeholders and external parties
