Role Description
Mediabrands are looking for a proactive Commercial Finance Manager to work closely with the Commercial Business Partner and agencies. You will be supporting the Commercial Business Partner to prepare accurate full-year P&L budgets and forecasts as well as monthly flash forecasts and variance analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Fully accountable for all aspects of revenue forecasting, ensuring accurate billing and revenue files. Conduct monthly meetings with client leads to validate assumptions and refine forecasts.
- Ensure that we have all evidence required to recognise revenue in-line with the IPG standard policies and procedures
- Lead the revenue pipeline process, working closely with teams to assess and challenge new opportunities.
- Work with the other SBUs in the group to assess risks in revenue forecasts, identify gaps in TBG/pipeline targets, and drive cost control measures.
- Work alongside the Commercial Business Partner and agency teams on the Initiative UK&I P&L while supporting in the preparation of full-year budgets, forecasts, and monthly flash updates.
- Provide variance analysis and ad hoc reporting for EMEA FP&A/RCT in collaboration with the UK&I Reporting Team.
- Work with the Financial Control Team to address key financial matters, including overdue debt and unbilled media.
- Ensure all contractual documentation (e.g., NDAs, SOW agreements) is in place and signed.
- Assist in preparing documentation for financial, compliance and client audits, including pre-audit preparation, and review.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management information packs, including YTD P&L vs. budget/forecast, P&L flash updates, and debtors/WIP/unbilled summaries.
- Conduct client profitability analysis, providing insights to senior client leads/directors and identifying under/over-servicing risks.
- Support contract and scope reviews, timesheet analysis, fee proposals, and operational guidance.
- Support the Analyst with all forecastwise submissions on a monthly, quarterly basis.
- Continuously strive to improve processes across the group
Desired Skills & Experience
- Part Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA
- Commercial experience required
- Experience of people management-not essential
- Hyperion / forecastwise experience desirable
- Media industry experience desirable
- Strong excel skills
- Must show a proactive approach to problem solving
