Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Test Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will collaborate with QA engineers and development engineers to define and implement comprehensive test automation solutions. The role involves setting standards for integration testing, functional testing, API testing, and performance testing. The candidate must have strong technical knowledge in software testing, data testing, and experience with test tools and frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with QA and development teams to define and implement test automation solutions.
  • Establish and enforce standards for integration testing, functional testing, API testing, and performance testing.
  • Design and implement test architecture, including test case management, test automation framework, test reporting, and integration with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Architect and implement a robust test infrastructure using cloud-native technology (Docker and Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS and GCP).
  • Utilize tools such as Cypress and Playwright for software and data testing.
  • Ensure seamless integration of test automation with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on software testing and data testing using tools such as Cypress and Playwright.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using programming languages such as Java, TypeScript, and Python.
  • Mentor and guide QA engineers and developers on best practices and standards for test automation.
  • Continuously improve the test automation process, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure the quality and performance of the test automation infrastructure through regular monitoring and maintenance.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in software testing and test automation.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, TypeScript, and Python.
  • Proven experience with UI test automation tools such as Cypress and Playwright.
  • Experience with performance testing tools such as Apache JMeter or Gatling.
  • Experience with API testing using tools such as Rest Assured or Postman.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
  • Familiarity with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to mentor and guide team members on test automation best practices.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Experience in designing and implementing test automation frameworks from scratch.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
  • Familiarity with test reporting tools and dashboards.
  • Ability to continuously learn and adopt new technologies and tools.

The salary range for this position is posted below.
