About the Team

The Finance & Strategy team accelerates the growth of our business by implementing new opportunities and solutions. We partner with teams across the company to improve the profitability, scalability, and defensibility of our business model. We're looking for people who can model the future, and collaborate to help carry projects from conception through execution. Joining the Product Finance team would mean you would be a part of a growing team in a high-visibility role focused on some of the largest investments across technology at DoorDash.

About the Role

As a key member of the Product Finance team, you will analyze technology costs that enable deliveries on our platform, spanning across navigation, messaging and fraud. You will own the forecasting process for these areas as well as be challenged to identify opportunities for operational efficiency as we continue to grow the business. You will also partner with leaders across our Product organization in managing headcount and operating expenses for their cost centers that enable their teams to hit their goals. You will collaborate cross-functionally with partners in finance, strategy, product, and procurement on a day-to-day basis to ensure effective allocation of capital across our technology investments.

You will report into a Senior Manager on our Product Finance team in our Finance & Strategy organization.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Take ownership of detailed financial models to forecast operations technology spend, while working with business partners to further understand drivers of key operational metrics
  • Own cost center management, including headcount and operating expenses, for Product business partners
  • Develop reports to track budget vs. actuals and provide visibility around areas that are over or under-performing
  • Find ways to automate operational aspects of the financial planning & analysis process
  • Evaluate opportunities to invest in technology and build financial models to support sourcing & procurement in negotiations

We’re excited about you because…

  • 4+ years of finance experience at a high-growth tech company or investment bank
  • Advanced excel & financial modeling skills
  • The ability to manipulate large data sets, uncover hidden insights in our data, and meaningfully improve our understanding of our business through this process
  • Experience working on projects that require cross-functional collaboration
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

We expect this position to be filled by 2/15/2025.
