About the Team

DoorDash’s mission is to grow and empower local economies. By building intelligent, last-mile delivery technology for local cities, DoorDash connects people with the local businesses they care about — helping grow businesses and the communities that support those businesses.

The Dasher Growth Team’s vision is to make DoorDash the #1 platform for gig workers to achieve their financial goals. In order to realize our vision, we focus on improving both the functional benefits of Dashing (earnings, flexibility, etc.), and also how we show up for, and support, Dashers.

About the Role

This role will join DoorDash’s rapidly growing Dasher Fleet Growth team to hit our lofty acquisition and retention goals, both at the market-level, and at the global company-level at optimal efficiency. This individual will own market analysis, acquisition forecasts, and develop operational levers that allow DoorDash to achieve our driver acquisition goals and continue expanding across new business lines. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing strategy and executing tests and analyzing results that tie directly to business impact. They will think creatively and analytically, working collaboratively with Analytics, Strategy & Operations, Finance, and Performance Marketing. This candidate must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a “roll up your sleeves” attitude and entrepreneurial spirit.

You will report to the Manager, Dasher Fleet Growth Strategy and sit within the larger marketing organization.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Drive the weekly spend allocation process that enables DoorDash to achieve our growth and efficiency targets for adding drivers according to market level growth plans.
  • Constantly iterate and improve our growth planning process to hit our weekly, monthly, and quarterly goals through acquisition strategy & execution, cross-channel optimization, and testing focused on maximizing efficiency and volume.
  • Analyze complex and challenging market dynamics at a granular level, develop operational testing frameworks to develop solutions, and work with cross functional partners (analytics, product, brand) to scale innovations and maximize business impact.
  • Partner with our Performance Marketing leads to plan our media mix strategy, improve the impact of paid acquisition, and ensure accurate forecasting of overall acquisition performance.
  • Be a key owner in the cross-functional development of playbooks to scale greenfield initiatives such as new acquisition channels across both existing and newer verticals (e.g. Grocery, Retail, Alcohol)

We’re excited about you because…

  • You have 2+ years of experience and have succeeded in high-performance cultures in industries such as consulting, strategy, operations, tech, financial services, analytics, marketing or similar roles.
  • You have strong quantitative proficiency and get excited when insights jump out of the data. You’re comfortable pulling your own data in SQL and modeling in Excel (can build models and maintain complex spreadsheets) or have similar expertise with database queries and data visualization tools. Experience building/editing dashboards in Sigma or a similar tool is a plus.
  • You operate at the lowest level of detail - you can manage complex projects in a deadline driven environment, and you analyze experiment results at the most granular level with a strong bias to action.
  • You have excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills. You’re able to synthesize complex information concisely and clearly communicate key points to internal stakeholders and leadership.
  • You are a collaborator who enjoys working with cross-functional teams and can partner effectively on initiatives.
  • Are a self-starter; you aren’t afraid of failure, have a bias towards action and can thrive in a fast paced environment
