About the Team

Our eCommerce (1st Party Sales/GTM Team) is responsible for the building and scaling of our emerging suite of 1st Party eCommerce products spanning Online Ordering (Websites, Apps, Kiousks), white label Logistics (Drive On Demand), Tableside Order and Pay, Phone Ordering, Customer Support Solutions, Restaurant Rewards, and several other emerging areas focused on helping merchants increase their take home profits. This team is responsible for New Business, Integrations/Merchant Success, Account Management, and partnering with our XFN teams in Product, Marketing, Strategy to drive success for merchants using DoorDash’s Commerce Platform

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Director to lead our Commerce Platform Organization (Sales, Account Management, Integrations, Merchant Success). In this role, you will lead the vision, strategy, and execution across sales initiatives that drive our company goals. You will work cross-functionally with internal partners (executive leadership, Sales S&O, Product, etc.) to create a high-performing SaaS platform model where you will drive revenue growth, optimize the customer experience, and build offerings that resonate and scale with our customers. As the Senior Director, you will oversee a leadership bench with multiple layers and support a rapidly growing team of specialized sales professionals.

You will report to our Vice President of Sales and Merchant Success within our Sales organization. We expect this role to be flexible in terms of time spent remotely and in-office with the ability to travel as needed for in-person collaboration through training, offsites, team-building events, and other business-related necessities.

You will evaluate the competitive landscape, find product-market fit, and make strategic decisions as we strive to offer the best range of services to our customers.

We’re excited about you because…

  • 8+ years of sale leadership experience (Director+), with a mix of Mid-Market, SMB (and Enterprise) experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a second/third-line leader and managing multiple layers of sales leadership
  • Deep understanding of SaaS platforms, products, and integrations with technology ecosystems
  • Proven ability to build, scale, and optimize teams within a platform SaaS model
  • Extensive experience with partnering cross-functionally to drive cohesion and success against sales initiatives
  • Experience building multidimensional sales teams and establishing goals that align teams
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguous and fast-paced environments

Compensation

Actual compensation within the pay range listed below will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. Base salary is localized according to employee work location.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants and sales commission. The estimated pay range for this position represents total on-target earnings (including base salary and on-target incentive pay). Talk to your recruiter for more information.

The range (inclusive of on-target incentive pay) for this position ranges from our lowest geographical market up to our highest geographical market within California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Washington.
