About the Team
DoorDash for Business provides meals solutions to companies, but we aren’t stopping there. Our mission is to become a premier benefits partner for executives, employees and administrators across the globe, leveraging the DoorDash platform to deliver industry-leading selection, quality, and customer service to every business customer, for every business use case. We are building an entrepreneurial, customer-obsessed, and fast moving team to create the right products and services for the future of work.
About the Role
As a Strategy & Operations Senior Manager owning the Group Orders product, you’ll scope, launch, scale, and operate an $X00 million business today, and turn it into a growth accelerator for DoorDash. You will lead cross-functional working groups of operations, marketing, product, sales and analytics teammates. Together, you will build a differentiated experience that drives value for corporate clients, the broader base of DoorDash users, our merchant partners, our Dashers, and our company. You will report into the Director of Corporate Catering, on the DoorDash for Business team.
You'll have the opportunity to help define and test new bets, bring products and features to market, and innovate to better serve our audiences’ needs. You’ll be accountable to top-line growth, operational performance, and bottom-line unit economics, acting as the GM of Group Ordering.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Build – develop world-class group ordering solutions in partnership with our Product, Marketing, Sales, and Operations teams, with a focus on the corporate use case
- Launch - Bring to market new group ordering products and features.
- Operate - Figure out how to get from A to B–then actually make it happen, working across the end-to-end user experience (from placing an order to the Support experience when things go wrong, and everything in between).
- Analyze – Shape and define our strategy based on quantitative and qualitative data
- Experiment and Iterate - Run tests and scale insights. Embrace the challenge of having multiple paths forward and no right answer. Help our product, our team and our company get 1% Better Every Day.
We're excited about you because…
- You solve problems from first principles, starting with the customer. You’re excited to solve problems in innovative ways, and you resist “this is how it’s always been done” thinking. You start with a clear understanding of the customer's needs and measure success based on how well we deliver on those needs.
- You’re unafraid of ambiguity. You don’t need a playbook. You dive into difficult problems and come up with a plan. You embrace the challenge of having multiple paths forward and no right answer.
- You’re analytical. You let data win arguments. You are an analytical thinker, able to leverage data and analytics to answer complex business questions and create a compelling narrative. You operate at a low level of detail and can break a problem down into its component parts.
- You’re relentless. You do what it takes to win, no matter what. Rapid change and learning is exciting to you.
- You’re a collaborative leader and a strong owner. You have a proven track record of leading cross-functional projects, setting ambitious goals, and consistently delivering results, influencing with and without authority.
- You have 10+ years of experience in Strategy & Operations, Consulting, Product, or Product Marketing; ideally with a range of experiences across multiple functions, and 4+ years of experience in people management.
