DoorDash’s Trust and Safety team is seeking a Community Policy Manager to create, write, and implement the policies that guide online and offline behavior on the platform. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with a strong background in policy and trust and safety to drive impactful initiatives to ensure the safety of more than XX Dashers and YY Customers who rely on DoorDash every month.
About the Role
As the Manager of Community Policy, you will be responsible for crafting, socializing, and implementing the rules that guide behavior of our customers, dashers, and merchants. You will bring empathy and ethical judgment in shaping our values-driven policies. You will work closely with public policy, legal, operations, product, support, and leadership to build and ensure the appropriate implementation of our policy framework. You have excellent communication skills and can work with a range of people from front line Trust and Safety associates to senior company leadership.

- Craft, socialize, and implement new Community Policies to ensure that consumers, dashers, and merchants are safe on DoorDash
- Identify gaps or improvement areas in our Community Policies, and take a proactive approach to solving trust and safety challenges
- Own and manage the Enforcement Guidelines to translate our Community Policies into actionable guidance for our front-line Trust and Safety associates
- Work closely with T&S and Product teams to assess new initiatives and provide pragmatic guidance to minimize safety risks
- Weigh in on sensitive escalations from the Trust and Safety team and discuss decisions with our leadership team.

- 5+ years of experience in relevant fields such as policy development, content policy, or trust and safety for a technology company
- Passionate about creating a safe and trustworthy experience for DoorDash users
- Bring strong judgment to balancing the interests of our users in challenging situations
- Are empathetic, pragmatic, and principled in your approach to Trust and Safety issues
- Work collaboratively with strategy & operations and product teams to problem solve and build solutions that will address issues upstream
- Have strong communication skills, and can clearly communicate complex challenges and provide clear recommendations
- Are responsible and reliable – you independently track your progress towards goals, and will ask for help of communicate upwards if you run into any problems
- Are curious – you love investigating and can get to the lowest level of detail when solving a problem

Compensation
The location-specific base salary range for this position is listed below. Compensation in other geographies may vary.
Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, base salary is localized according to employee work location. Please discuss your intended work location with your recruiter for more information.
