About the Team
The New Verticals Analytics team drives measurement, strategy, and tactical decision-making for non-Restaurant categories on DoorDash’s market place (e.g., Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, Retail, and more). Data Scientists at DoorDash work to uncover insights and turn them into actionable recommendations, driving decisions for the entire organization. Analytics is integral to all operational areas at DoorDash.
About the Role
The Analytics team is looking for an experienced Senior Manager on the New Verticals Analytics team. This manager and their team will guide measurement, strategy, and tactical decision-making across key areas of DoorDash’s New Verticals business. You will partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations to drive the development and optimization of products and operational processes through strategic analysis, roadmap planning, and experimentation.

- Lead a team of Data Scientists and Analytics Managers, upleveling your team through coaching, mentorship, and technical leadership
- Drive measurement strategy for the area under scope, defining success metrics and implementing best practices around experiment design and statistical analysis
- Develop data-driven frameworks to facilitate prioritization of high-impact product and operational initiatives
- Influence cross-functional strategy through analysis
- Report against our goals by identifying essential metrics and building executive-facing dashboards to track progress
- Collaborate with data engineering and product engineering to strengthen data foundations
We’re excited about you because…
- Experience in leading Data Science teams, with 4+ years of people management experience
- 9+ years of experience in product analytics and data science with a Bachelor or Master degree or 6+ years with a Ph.D. in relevant fields
- Strong structured thinking, problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience with experimentation (A/B testing, diff-in-diff experiments)

Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location.
