About the Team
The Product Finance team at DoorDash is responsible for managing major cost of revenue items, such as payment processing, research and development, insurance, and fraud. Our main goal is to increase DoorDash's Gross Margin percentage, and we do this by carefully analyzing and planning our cost of revenue spend. We also work to identify areas where we can save costs, while at the same time evaluating investment opportunities that will benefit our consumers, merchants, and dashers, and ultimately have a positive impact on the company's overall profitability.
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to join a growing team that's focused on managing some of DoorDash's major cost of revenue items, and where you can have a huge impact. In this role, you'll be responsible for forecasting major cost line items including tech, research and development, insurance, and fraud prevention. You'll also be tasked with identifying areas where we can drive efficiencies, and evaluating investment opportunities. The right candidate will possess strong analytical and technical skills to influence data-driven business decisions. Depending on the candidate's location, this role may be either a hybrid position with some time in the office and some time remote, or a fully remote role.

- Take ownership of detailed financial models to forecast R&D or Insurance & Fraud spend, while working with business partners to further understand drivers of key operational metrics
- Find ways to automate operational aspects of the financial planning & analysis process
- Develop reports to track budget vs. actuals and provide visibility to business partners around areas that are over or under-performing
- Evaluate opportunities to invest in R&D, Insurance, and Fraud technology and build financial models to support sourcing & procurement in negotiations
- Identify and quantify key risks & opportunities in our business
- Operate in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that is constantly evolving

- 2+ years of finance experience at a high-growth tech company or investment bank
- Advanced excel & financial modeling skills
- The ability to manipulate large data sets, uncover hidden insights in our data, and meaningfully improve our understanding of our business through this process
- Experience working on projects that require cross-functional collaboration
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

The location-specific base salary range for this position is listed below. Compensation in other geographies may vary.
Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, base salary is localized according to employee work location. Please discuss your intended work location with your recruiter for more information.
