Alabama, USA
Posted on May 9, 2025

At Counterpart Health (CPH), we are transforming healthcare and improving patient care with our innovative primary care tool, Counterpart Assistant (CA). By supporting Primary Care Physicians (PCPs), we are able to deliver improved outcomes to patients at a lower cost through early diagnosis and longitudinal care management of chronic conditions.

We’re looking for a Market Leader, Provider Engagement & Growth to serve as our senior-most Alabama expert and build our presence in the state from the ground up. You’ll own the full lifecycle of provider engagement—from introduction and education through sales, onboarding, support, and growth. You have deep experience working with primary care physicians and understand what drives them: what they value, how they work, and how to deliver solutions that truly make a difference. In this role, you’ll be the senior leader guiding our strategy in Alabama, while also executing hands-on to bring Counterpart Assistant to more clinicians, more patients, and more communities. This is a ground-floor opportunity, where you will be creatively solving problems, hand-in-hand with physicians and practice administrators. You’ll own your trajectory, rapidly taking on more leadership responsibilities as you demonstrate successful execution, building a best-in-class team of field-based account managers, and acting as a key voice of our partners back into the company.

As a Market Leader You Will:

  • Own Market Success: Introduce, pitch, sell, sign, onboard, manage, retain, and grow primary care practices in Alabama.
  • Partner with Practices: Develop deep, consultative relationships with providers and staff that lead to strong adoption and long-term satisfaction.
  • Drive Scalable Impact: Establish repeatable engagement workflows, training materials, and playbooks to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across the region.
  • Champion the Brand: Represent Counterpart Health in the Alabama healthcare community—driving awareness, trust, and advocacy.
  • Use Data to Guide Action: Use performance metrics and insights to steer interventions, guide conversations, and continuously improve the provider experience.
  • Engage Executive Stakeholders: Represent Counterpart Health in meetings with C-suite and clinical leadership, articulating our strategic value and performance outcomes.
  • Build & Lead a Regional Team: Recruit, onboard, and coach a team of high-performing Senior Account Managers across Alabama to support adoption, training, and long-term success with Counterpart Assistant.

Success in This Role Looks Like:

  • Your team is consistently hitting or exceeding provider engagement goals across the state.
  • Practices see you and your team as critical partners in their transition to value-based care.
  • Counterpart Assistant becomes an essential tool for PCPs in Alabama—fully embedded into workflows, trusted by clinicians, and consistently driving better patient outcomes.
  • Your leadership enables rapid growth and scale while maintaining operational excellence.

Your background might be in:

  • Primary care leadership (MD, DO, NP)
  • PCP-facing software sales (EHR, Practice management, etc)
  • Network development for a health insurance plan
  • Primary Care pharmaceutical / vaccine sales

You should get in touch if:

  • You have a strong track record of on-the-ground success building provider relationships in the Alabama market.
  • You have 8–10+ years of experience in provider engagement, healthcare account management, or value-based care operations.
  • You’ve owned end-to-end customer relationships and delivered measurable results—ideally in an early-stage, high-growth healthcare setting.
  • You thrive in unstructured environments and love building things from the ground up.
  • You know the Alabama provider landscape and have strong local relationships in primary care.
  • You ideally understand EHR workflows, risk-based payment models, and Medicare Advantage, if not, we will train on the job.
  • You can influence and build trust with physicians, staff, and healthcare executives alike.
  • You’re willing and able to travel frequently throughout Alabama (up to 75%).
