The People Operations team at Clover is a passionate group committed to transforming healthcare and enhancing people's lives, a challenging yet rewarding mission! We provide guidance, support, and innovative programs to empower our teams, ensuring they thrive in their roles. It’s an immense responsibility, and we’re privileged to do it.

The HR Strategic Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. This position requires a results-oriented and data-driven leader with exceptional communication skills. HRBP’s are responsible for designing and implementing People strategies that align with Clover’s mission, values and long term objectives. As an HRBP, you will be responsible for formulating partnerships across Clover Health to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.

As a Strategic HRBP, you will:

  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership to understand business goals and objectives and develop HR strategies that support organizational growth and success.
  • Partner with leaders to design organizational structures, job roles, and talent management processes to drive organizational strategy.
  • Analyze a broad range of HR data to identify insights and convert these insights into recommendations the business can use to make decisions that positively impact front line employees.
  • Partner with People Operations partners on the build and roll out of key HR initiatives, including compensation planning, annual goal setting, performance management conversations, employee engagement surveys, DEI, and others.
  • Develop project plans for transformational initiatives including key deliverables, timelines, and resources required to achieve success.
  • Identify interdependencies with other teams and programs. Understand the cross-functional impact of decisions and project execution.
  • Evaluate the impact of proposed changes on employees to minimize any disruptions to the business.
  • Consult with and manage the people management related agenda and serve as employee champion and change agent, while seeking to develop integrated solutions.
  • Coach leaders on HR policies and processes, ensuring training and support for the development of employee performance standards is provided; oversee and support the effective use of established performance management processes.

Success in this role looks like:

  • Within 90 days, you'll have a solid understanding of our business processes, goals, initiatives, and people-related objectives within your assigned organization. You'll also have started building trust and collaborating effectively with key stakeholders.
  • By 6 months, you'll be translating business needs into actionable HR initiatives that align people strategies with our business strategies. You'll leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) to drive desired outcomes, manage change and transformation effectively, and navigate ambiguous and challenging situations with data-driven recommendations.
  • Future success in this role will be measured by your ability to make high-quality decisions, lead people-related projects and programs with minimal guidance, and demonstrate cultural awareness and proficiency in data analysis within Clover’s business operations.

You will love this job if:

  • You are service oriented — you feel fulfilled in helping and supporting others to achieve common goals and resolve issues.
  • You are a team player. You enjoy partnering with others, and want to work collaboratively to find new solutions.
  • You are a strong communicator. You have strong verbal and written communication skills that foster trust, knowledge sharing, and progress.
  • You are detail-oriented. You pay attention to the small things, while understanding how they fit into the bigger picture.
  • You have a bias to action and love to move quickly from ideas to execution.
  • You use analytical input to solve complex problems.
  • You are curious. You like to do research when you don't know an answer. You ask the hard questions and you don't sweep problems under the rug.

You should get in touch if:

  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
  • You have exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with a strong focus on customer service and meticulous attention to detail.
  • You have proven success in managing complex HR projects and initiatives in a rapidly scaling, preferably remote-first, multi-state environment.
