YOUR ROLE

To support the strong growth of Capgemini Invent Italy, we are currently looking for a Next-Gen Telco Network Strategist to join our Telco Network Hub team, based in our Milan and Rome offices.

As a Manager, you will help Telecoms define their Network strategy evolution toward the achievement of their Autonomous Network vision through AI adoption, platforms optimization and reorganization of their approaches and mindset.

The operational reality across the global landscape remains vastly uneven. Some Pioneers have already harnessed AI to move from reactive scripting to predictive, closed-loop orchestration, realising tangible gains in network resilience and efficiency, and they already experiment with agentic elements to define the next phase of the journey, many others have still a very limited level of automation and need to plan their journey to Level 4 of Automation.

YOUR PROFILE

All candidates must be able to demonstrate successful business development skills within the professional services industry selling consulting services, and have led and delivered the following types of assignments:

  • Network infrastructure transformation
  • Operational transformations across different domains
  • Business case & strategy development with specific focus on the network domain

Key duties will include:

  • Building relationships with client at C-level as advisor of Innovation trends and digital enterprise technology topics
  • Having a good understanding of core Telco Domains (Network planning, deployment, Engineering services, operations, OSS in general) and define changes to improve efficiencies leveraging industry best practices and innovation
  • Apply data-driven approach to the use of data to improve decision-making
  • Develop commercially viable consulting market offerings
  • Develop telco analysis leveraging Capgemini Research, TM Forum and other institute documentation
  • Lead and deliver medium scale, complex projects – managing project teams being actively involved and taking ownership of delivery
  • Work within mixed consulting and client teams, planning, managing and delivering work

Skills:

  • Curiosity for a changing and challenging world
  • Experience in managing e2e delivery projects across multiple domains
  • Comprehensive technical expertise across Telco-IT landscape [Digital, BSS, OSS, infrastructures]
  • Experience in managing and interacting with vendors (e.g. NEP, Platform providers and hyperscalers)
  • Knowledgeable around TMForum Initiatives and Standards (e.g. ODA)
  • Executive and Senior stakeholders management
  • High reliability, team spirit and fit for a world-leading management consultancy
  • Strong presentation and moderation skills as well as very good MS Office skill

With deep Telco industry knowledge, combined with end business understanding, technology skills, and a highly collaborative working style, you will help shape our Telco Industry by driving automation evolution for Telco network organisations.
