Job Description

Purpose of the Role
The Software Engineer will design, develop, and enhance high quality software solutions that support business, platform, and technology capabilities for internal stakeholders. The role requires strong engineering fundamentals, attention to detail, and the ability to build scalable, secure, and high performing applications.

Key Accountabilities
Software Engineering & Development
• Design, develop, and deliver high quality software using industry standard programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
• Write clean, scalable, maintainable, and performance optimized code.
• Implement robust unit testing practices to ensure code reliability and quality.
• Follow secure coding standards to mitigate risks and safeguard sensitive data.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and cross functional engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, peer programming, and engineering discussions to promote code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and best practices, contributing to internal tech communities and innovation efforts.
Platform & Application Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain frameworks for monitoring, data governance, control checks, data management, and data visualisation for a centralized DataStore supporting Product Control (PC) and Financial Control (FC).
• Enhance applications to support real time monitoring and large scale data visualization.
• Maintain and retrain Generative AI models, ensuring compliance with internal governance and Barclays standards.
• Support stability, resilience, and continuous enhancement of the P&L systems and IPV (Independent Price Verification) platforms.
• Contribute to Management Information (MI) generation for senior leadership.
• Develop and maintain adjustment and provisioning functionalities.
• Collaborate with Release Management for automated deployments and CI/CD processes.
• Ensure the availability, scalability, and accuracy of P&L distribution processes across Product Control.

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is:$86129 to $127189

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
