YOUR ROLE

As a Senior Consultant in Energy Transition & Utilities, you will be responsible for advising clients on complex energy market challenges through data‑driven strategies, primarily in renewables and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). You will support the development of new business models and market entry strategies for renewable projects. The position also involves leading feasibility studies, technical‑economic analyses, and regulatory navigation for BESS integration into the grid. A strong implementation focus ensures measurable performance improvements for clients. Experience in e‑Mobility, while not essential, is considered an added value.

Your typical activities with clients and our Capgemini community will extend to:

• Strategic Advisory: Analyze data and market/regulatory trends to define energy transition strategies, from decarbonization and market expansion to technology adoption and efficiency improvements.
• Project Leadership: Lead end‑to‑end project lifecycles, managing scope, deliverables, budgets, and timelines for complex engagements.
• Solution Design: Develop actionable plans for sustainable energy infrastructure, utility operational excellence, and digital transformation of energy assets.
• Implementation & Change: Drive execution of strategies and technologies, supporting change management and adoption of innovative energy solutions.
• Client & Stakeholder Management: Build trusted relationships with C‑level executives, lead meetings, and present insights clearly in Italian and English.
• People & Collaboration: Mentor junior consultants and collaborate cross‑functionally across the Capgemini Group to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.

YOUR PROFILE

• Demonstrated experience with energy market analysis, regulatory frameworks (Italian and European) - for example ARERA, TSO/DSO requirements and grid codes - and financial modeling for energy projects.
• Exposure to digital solutions for energy management (e.g., smart grids, IoT, AI in energy) is advantageous; we welcome a range of tools/approaches and are open to seeing what candidates bring.
• Fluent in Italian and English; an additional language is a plus.
• Proactive mindset in anticipating market shifts and technological advancements in the energy sector; team‑oriented and motivated by the global energy transition challenge.

Notes: 6+ years of progressive experience in Energy & Utilities, with significant focus on Energy Transition, Renewables, and/or BESS; e‑Mobility exposure is a plus. Experience ideally gained in consulting firms or in strategic/operational roles within major energy companies, utilities, or technology providers. Master’s degree in Engineering, Energy Management or a related STEM area. Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, sector‑specific energy certifications) are advantageous.
