Your Role

Work on the Android Audio Framework, contributing to the design, integration, and optimization of audio components.
Develop and enhance system-level modules using C++, Java, JNI, Binders, and other IPC mechanisms.
Contribute to middleware layers such as Audio Policy Manager, AudioFlinger, Android HAL, Media Server, and Audio Server.
Debug and resolve Android framework-level issues using system debugging tools and logs.
Apply strong programming and architectural concepts including OOP, multithreading, data structures, and design patterns.
Collaborate in agile development teams and follow ASPICE processes throughout the software lifecycle.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to design robust architecture, requirements, and detailed design documents (good to have).

Your Profile

Strong knowledge of the Android Audio Framework.
Proficiency in C++, Java, with hands-on experience in JNI, Binders, and IPC mechanisms.
Experience or understanding of key Android middleware components such as:

Audio Policy Manager
AudioFlinger
Android HAL
Media Server / Audio Server

Strong understanding of Android debugging techniques, system logs, and performance analysis tools.
Deep knowledge of design patterns, object‑oriented programming, multithreading, and data structures.
Knowledge of UNIX/Linux environments (good to have).
Experience working in Automotive Infotainment systems or Software‑Defined Vehicles (SDV) is a plus.
Familiarity with multiple audio frameworks such as QNX MMF, QNX io-audio/Dev-A, OpenMAX, NuPlayer/StageFright, GStreamer, etc.

Good to Have

Experience with ALSA, Android Audio HAL, or HIDL.
Understanding of Codec2 interface in Android.
Ability to create software architecture documents, requirements, and high‑level design specifications.
Knowledge of GStreamer or other multimedia frameworks.
Exposure to Agile methodologies and Scrum processes.
Experience working in ASPICE‑aligned environments.
Strong team collaboration and communication skills.
